Location

Falmouth, Cornwall, United Kingdom

We love our neighbourhood, its friendly and there's a corner shop and post office on the doorstep - round the corner.

Falmouth is a treat, it's buzzy and creative. You can find eclectic theatre, film, comedy and concerts as well as mainstream cinema, art/craft exhibitions and pop up vintage fairs. There's music, good cheer, ale, food a weekly food market and a host of seasonal festivals (shanty, beer, oyster, regatta etc) plus lots of quirky shops.

The town has a balance of university students, locals and visitors. It's a joy to wander, watching boats and big ships pass through the harbour, docks and the bay.

You can walk to Gylly beach and onwards to Swanpool, Maenporth and the mouth of the Helford ...with beach cafes along the way.

If inclined there's fishing and watersports: sailing, kayaking, canoeing, diving etc.

We moved to Falmouth from Bristol in 2007 (best move ever!) to live by the sea, make art and study (Annie did her Phd in public arts practice). We are keen foodies (vegetarian) aspiring to a low impact lifestyle growing what we can in our garden. Alongside philosophic musings (essay in progress) Annie is in her element cultivating and foraging plants for food and medicinal purposes...bubbling ferments, tinctures, teas and balms Mac is in his sifting through vinyl, playing piano and performing at, or organizing spoken word events. or ..we might be dancing in the kitchen to our wonderful local community radio station - SourceFM. We like to meet, greet and host nice folk.

During your stay
More than happy to chat, advise and so on... feel free to ask and we'll help if we can.

We love to meet nice people, but also appreciate the need for space and privacy...yours and ours.

Working as we do from home, we are busy during the day and like a quiet house (as well as time & space for piano practice).
