A very nice and big apartment. Just outside your door you have restaurants, bars and the Royal Mile. Thanks for a good place to stay.

A great weekend in a truly beautiful apartment in a perfect, central location. Lorraine and her son James were extremely helpful and accommodating and we couldn't have asked for a better experience

Gorgeous 400 year old home in a perfect location. Even had a washer/dryer. Easy check in. Perfect for our group of 9. Highly recommend.

7 of us stayed here for a week while visiting the Edinburgh festival and the location is perfect. So many lovely cafes and restaurants in the same street and being so central meant we could pop back for a quick rest between shows. The apartment is huge -great for a large group with three bathrooms and two kitchens. It is an old and historic building so a bit quirky but well equipped and very clean. Lorraine was a great host. She met us at the apartment, explained everything well and was at hand if we needed anything. The front bedrooms could be noisy at night but that is the price you pay if you want to be in the middle of the city in August and earplugs were available! Highly recommended if you want to be at the heart of everything Edinburgh has to offer.

This accommodation is in an incredible location in the heart of Edinburgh. It's ideally situated for enjoying the festival. Lorraine is easy to get hold of and very accommodating. She was great at welcoming us and allowed us to drop our bags off ahead of our check-in which was so helpful given that we had arrived in the city a couple of hours before we could officially enter the flat. The apartment is really well kitted out. They have thought of everything to ensure your stay is easy from the moment you arrive. The milk, tea bags, juice, biscuits and plentiful loo rolls make it easy to settle in. Books, DVDs, flannels, towels, shampoo and hairdryers mean that you can travel light too. Given the amazing location it's worth noting that this accommodation may not suit light sleepers staying in the bedrooms at the front of the property. The flat is on West Bow, just off Grassmarket and Victoria Street. Both roads are full of brilliant restaurants, pubs and even a couple of nightclubs (which are ideal if you fancy a drink or bite to eat close by). However boozy revellers are still enjoying the festival in to the wee hours and although you can't hear any noise from nearby establishments, you can expect to hear a few people on their way home at 2am after a few pints! The combination of this and a slightly uncomfortable sofa bed in the upper apartment made for a couple of disturbed night's sleeps. Don't let this put you off though. If you wear ear plugs (which were kindly supplied) or are a deep sleeper you probably won't hear a thing. Choose this property if you want to be in the heart of the action with everything (including the new Harry Potter shop) on your door step. It is large, well set up accommodation, across 2 floors, that can be enjoyed by up to 9 people. It worked particularly well for us as our 2 families split in to the two separate flats but came together in the larger lounge and dining area when we wanted to socialise. Final top tip...right next to the main front door of the apartments is a French patisserie called La Barantine. It opens at 8am and serves delicious fresh croissants and beautiful coffee. We ventured down in our PJs to grab a take away one morning and no one batted an eyelid!

This is the exact spot you are looking for in Edinburgh. Great host, great location, and incredible to get to love and sleep in a historical building. I brought my family, 7 people and we all loved it.
