Cottage Loft on waterfront property with Puget Sound and Olympic Mtn views. Beach and water access w/ kayaks. 700 square ft living space with one KING bedroom. Full sleeper in living room. Kitchenette w/ barbecue. Quiet, clean & comfortable! Seasonal pricing ranges from $120-$195 per night.

The space
Charming 700 square foot, private loft is above our garage and attached to our Fox Island waterfront home. It has an exterior private access next to parking for one guest car. The large bedroom has a walk-in closet, king bed and desk area. The spacious living room has a new full size sofa sleeper, 55" flat-screen with internet streaming. Full bathroom with bathtub/shower.

Although we limit to 2 guests, please contact us for exceptions. We may allow up to two children or one additional adult at a charge of $10 per person per night.

Enjoy views of Hales Passage from the Loft, breathtaking sunsets (Northwest weather permitting!) from the patios with full beach access. You may use our kayaks and relax on the two waterfront patios. Walk 5 minutes to the public Fox Island DeMolay Sandspit. 10 minute drive to charming Gig Harbor, 20-30 minutes to Tacoma and an hour to Seattle.

The kitchenette has a dining table with views of the water, a small refrigerator, coffee maker, slow cooker with a hot plate, pop-corn popper, microwave and toaster. A weber barbecue can be set up if requested. This is not a full kitchen and does not have a stovetop, oven or dishwasher. It will be stocked with coffee, teas and creamer in addition to some continental breakfast items (oatmeal, bagels, fruit, etc.) A complimentary bottle of wine will await you!

Guest access
The entire Loft is for your private use - please make yourself at home. Our Airbnb guests are also welcome to share the use of two waterfront patios, propane fire pit on the water, the beach and kayaks (adult life jackets are required and provided).

We live in the main house and have a friendly Golden Retriever, 11 year old Annie. There is a locked door between the Loft and the main house for your privacy.

Other things to note
Tidal range in our area varies from about -4' to +14'. At higher tides the water level comes up to our bulkhead and there is no beach. The sandy beach can be utilized at 10' and less.

Our property is on the water with a STEEP incline and driveway. Uneven rock steps lead down to the patios and water. If you have any physical limitations, it can be challenging.

Neighbourhood highlights

We live in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood. You will encounter many people and dogs walking the quiet roads. Enjoy plenty of deer, raccoons, eagles, seals, harbor porpoises, blue heron and more! We have also been blessed with Orcas in the last year. Don't be surprised if you spot four colorful Macaws flying around. They are domestic pets in the neighborhood - noisy but beautiful!

Rick and I have been married 43 years and have lived on Fox Island (WA) for the last 30 years. We are passionate about and grateful for our home on Hales Passage and all that the Puget Sound offers - boating, sailing, fishing, crabbing and simply enjoying the tranquility of being on and relaxing by the water! When our loft is not being used by our three fabulous adult daughters, we are excited to make it available to Airbnb guests and share this amazing location!
