The space

Apartment 2 is a spacious studio apartment only slightly smaller than my other listing Apartment 1. Tastefully decorated and fully equipped kitchen with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. I bedroom with large queen size bed, the apartment is ideally suited for a couple although can sleep 3 with request for extra single foldaway bed.

All bookings include an initial one off complimentary supply of basic breakfast ingredients such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, muesli, bread, butter etc. to tide you over until you visit the local supermarket or bakery.

No charge for final cleaning…however we do expect that the dishes will be washed and put away after use.

Cot and high chair can be provided on request…no extra charge.

Single fold away bed with extra linen/duvet etc can be provided on request for an extra charge of 35€

Gamla Pósthúsið (the old post house) is conveniently located in the centre of town, only a few metres walking distance to the bakery, restaurants, museum and harbour.

Sauðárkrókur is about 290 km, a scenic 3 hr drive from Reykjavik. Situated in the northwest of Iceland, Sauðárkrókur is the largest town in the Skagafjörður region. A short detour from the main ring road will bring you to this quiet fishing village with a population of nearly 3,000. This little town offers sea, mountain and rural vistas, with many wonderful walking/hiking trails. The town of Sauðárkrókur is centrally located to many of the main attractions in the Skagafjörður area and nearby districts. The Skagafjörður region and outlying areas have much to offer the tourist most less than an hours drive away from Sauðárkrókur. Explore the Skagafjörður region by visiting the villages of Hofsós, Hólar and Varmahlið, travel beyond the district to the townships of Hvammstangi, Blönduós and Skagaströnd or tour the very northern regions of Iceland and discover Siglufjörður and Ólafsfjörður.

Vicky's place is fantastic, fully equipped and very well located in Northern Iceland. Vicky was very helpful and welcoming, we had a great time. The breakfast package was a particularly nice touch with delicious Skyr, fresh fruit and good quality coffee.

Vicki's place was absolutely the best I could have hoped for after a long journey. The apartment is located very centrally to stores and areas of interest. The apartment itself was spotless and was equipped with everything we needed including a washer/dryer. I would highly recommend her place for future travellers!

Vicki's apartment was one of my favorite stays in Iceland! The decor is upscale with local touches, bed was really comfortable after a long day. The washer and dryer was key after I'd been traveling for a week. It was so nice to do a load of laundry! After I arrived, Vicki was very helpful in suggesting restaurants that would cater to my vegetarian diet. She is really the sweetest! She even provided ingredients for a healthy breakfast which was just above and beyond. Great location, highly highly recommended.

Vicki's apartment was our favorite AirBnB on our week long trip around the Ring Road! She was easy to communicate with in advance and was so kindly accommodating when we were running late for check in. Her apartment was impeccably cleaned with a comfy bed, fully stocked kitchen, warm shower with great water pressure, wifi that worked well, and washer/dryer. We were able to see the Northern Lights from outside her apartment! Vicki had kindly provided wine for our first evening as well as many treats for breakfast - fresh fruit, Skyr, bread with jam/butter, oatmeal, and plenty of tea/coffee. Parking was available in front of the house. There were lots of pamphlets in the front hall for Iceland attractions, and Vicki provided suggestions for local things to see and do. We would definitely stay here again!

The host was really helpful and communicated frequently which was really helpful and made the process easy. It's in an easy to find location and very well kept. We were running a little late to check in because of the weather coming up but she waited for us to show us around and check in. The apartment was very clean and cozy with a comfortable bed. She provided us the essentials for breakfast the next day and it really helped us out for our drive the next morning! There is a cute bakery across the street to stock up on before hitting the road again. She guided us on where to go to see the northern lights and it was beautiful! I'm really glad she helped us. I would recommend this stay to others!

Cute and clean apartment and a super nice host. Vicki helped us a lot and was very flexible with check-in and check-out times. We booked the apartment pretty spontaneous and she responsed immediately. The place is perfect for two or three people and Vicki offered enoughs food for a comfortable breakfast. Thanks again, we enjoyed our stay and could highly recommend this place.

Vicki User ProfileVicki is a superhost.

I am an Australian woman/artist/printmaker who fell in love with the landscape of Iceland in 2009. I decided to have a major sea change before age and health became an obstacle and moved from Australia to the small fishing town of Sauðárkrókur in North West Iceland. I live in an apartment on the top floor of a large old post office building which I purchased at the end of 2010. Since then I have renovated the building creating a small art studio for myself, plus two spacious studio apartments for holiday rental.
