Enjoy your stay!
Restored and renovated apt in charming old-school (circa 1890) semi-commercial building on The Main. Step outside and you are there. It's most comparable to NYC's Village.
Flr 1: Entry, BDRM1, suite or BDRM2 & balcony
Flr 2: 2 BDRMS, BTHRM, Toilet & KTCH
The whole 2-floor apartment is for your exclusive use. If you wish to use the terrace a waiver will have to be signed on arrival, limiting the capacity, agreeing to stay on the terrace-part-only, taking responsibility for your guests use of the terrace and limiting my liability.
Interaction with guests
I will be available to help during your stay. Also, I have the inside track on fun stuff to do, having lived here my whole life and having been active throughout!
The Main (as it's always been know as):
What I like about the neighbourhood is, that it is at the cross roads of what I love about Montreal; The Plateau, Old Montreal, The Main, Mont-Royal, McGill Campus, Downtown, Chinatown, Quartier des Spectacles. Our side of the street is the beginning of the Eastside, across the street, the beginning of the Westside.
Centrally located, and safe (like everywhere in Montreal!). Everything is within walking distance: Quartier des Spectacles(1 block away), McGill&Downtown (10 blocks), Le Plateau(0 blocks, i.e.: We r on the Plateau), Old Montreal(5 blocks), Mont-Royal(7 blocks), Chinatown(5 blocks), The Village(10 blocks).
There is a (one of about 500 city-wide) Bixi (public/municipal bikes) stands across the street, 50 meters up (north).
Bus no. 24 (best bus route in MTL!) across the street; for both directions, i.e. West and East
1 block from St-Laurent Metro (subway) station.
Park out front on the street. There are usually free spots minus Fri and Sat night. Guaranteed free parking spots every weekday at 5:30 pm (because the whole block is clear for rush-hour traffic prior).
Other things to note
Cleaning services are available at 100$ (it's a big space), with 2-day prior notice, or 130$ for last-minute or no notice. Cleaning is the responsibility of the guest if no cleaning is requested. Everything required to do cleaning is easily accessible on site. The apartment itself is easy to clean and takes 1 person about 3 hours. So, less if more people help.
Parking: There is lots of free street parking, tho it can be tricky to find a spot Fri and Sat night when everyone's out on the town.
Code locks on all doors.
Although parties are permitted but limited to 30 people, neighbours or other guests in the building must be respected as to noise, and time.
I've written a guide and info sheet which can be found in the apt.
The 4th bedroom has a high-quality Coleman queen-size air mattress bed.
The terrace is limited to 10 people at a time.
There is no cleaning charge if guests elect to do cleaning themselves. In such case, apt should be left ready for next guests. Instructions and everything necessary to clean the apt are in the kitchen of the apt. Cleaning service is available for 75$, with 2-day prior notice, or 100$ if less than 2-day notice, and 150$ if the apt is left uncleaned with no notice.
Smoking on balc or terrace.
The maximum number of people permitted on the terrace, at one time, is 10. No more than 20 people are permitted in the apt, at one time. Parties are permitted with prior conscent
