Springwild is a three-acre property at the end of Boyer Ln, which is a short 5 minutes from the plaza and 30 minutes from the Taos ski Valley. The Casita has a small kitchen, large artistic bathroom with radiant heat, and a sleeping and dining area. Springwild is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a great view of the mountains, a variety of outdoor seating, and a wonderful vegetable and herb garden.
Springwild is a 3 acre homestead surrounded by open fields that roll to the Rio Fernando and it's red willows, thousands of migratory birds and mountain views that will take your breath away. The colors at the end of the day and the views of the incredible Sangre de Cristos at sunrise are what brings artists to Taos. Springwild Casita is perfect for a couples getaway, or for an artist or writer looking for peace and quiet.
The Casita was built by artist, sculptor, architect, landscape artist, philosopher, gardener, dietitian, cook, poet and steward..... Malcolm Brown. He described life at SpringWild as an experiment in transition to a world of peace, happiness and fulfillment for all. Following his architectural style, we added on a bathroom with beautiful mosaic tiled shower and sink, and radiant heat. The main room consists of a queen size bed, dinning table and a comfy chair for reading. There is a small kitchen with a gas two burner stove. There is also a toster oven. We provide farm fresh eggs from our chickens, coffee, tea and half and half. During the summer enjoy fresh vegetables and herbs from our organic garden, just a few steps from your casita. The property also has a main house which can sleep up to 10 guests if you are looking for a bigger space to share with family and friends. You will love this enchanted place.
You are 5 minutes from town where there are lots of art galleries, shops, grocery stores and restaurants, and 30 minutes from the Taos Ski Valley. Close by is river rafting, hiking, hot air ballooning and a links golf course. Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort and Spa is 45 minutes away. Abiquiu, where Georgia O'Keeffe lived and Plaza Blanca, where she painted, is an hour and fifteen minutes from Taos.
On the day of your arrival we will contact you to confirm your arrival time, as to ensure that we are home to welcome you and show you around the property.
