Truly tranquil as it faces north with a great view of the back garden. Cool in the summer months. 2 single beds from John Lewis joins together to form a super King size bed. Converts into 2 single bed for 2 single travellers.
The building is very old and there is a plan to start sprucing it up soon.
There is also a kettle and some tea and coffee in the room.

This tranquil room is for one, two or three persons. For example two can sleep on a super king size comfortable bed and one on comfortable quality and thick mattress from John Lewis on the floor.
The two single beds mattresses are zipped together to form a super king size bed. When unzipped they become two comfortable single beds. So the room is suitable for two single travellers or a couple. If you book for two people just let me know if you are a couple so the beds can be prepared as required.
All my mattresses comes from reputable seller John Lewis renown for quality comfortable beds. Guests have commented on how comfortable they are.
There is a fully fitted wall to wall wardrobe and I allow guests to use one section of the wardrobe to hang things. As it is Airbnb most of my belongings is in my flat and rooms.
The room faces a garden and it has a large tree in it. When the leaves rustle it is soothing, hence the name tranquil room. I know anybody who stays in the room has found it very peaceful and nice yet very easy to get to central London.
The flat has Kinetico water softener, fully fitted wardrobes and kitchen.
The kitchen has granite worktops and upstand with a Miele fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, combination oven and a gas hob.
The flat is very centrally located in zone 2. Easy access to all the central tourist sights and sports venues eg. Stratford City, Lords Cricket Grounds, Wembley Stadium and Hampstead Village. Supermarkets and eateries are close by.
The theatre district is only a bus ride pass Lords Cricket Ground and also the main shopping street. By tube it takes about 20 minutes and it very much depends on which theatre also.
The flat is located in leafy South Hampstead surrounded by transportation, eateries, supermarkets and has easy access to the sports events and night life.
Beatles Studios is located close by in Abbey Road. Freud museum is within walking distance, so is Lords Cricket Grounds.
The nearest tubes are Swiss Cottage or Finchley Road.
Outside Finchley Road can be found Waitrose supermarket and turning left will take you into O2 Center. The centre has Vue cinema, many restaurants, Virgin Sports Centre, the largest Sainsbury in London and Homebase.
In the O2 Centre there are a lot of parking.
If you are a guest here it is possible to arrange parking. There is a small fee to pay, or if you prefer O2 in Finchley Road is about 10 minutes walk from here . They do provide parking also. Please check it out with them on costs. There is also restricted parking on my street.
Getting to and from Airports
From Heathrow airport take Heathrow Express then tube or cab to the apartment. Heathrow Express takes only 15 minutes.
Taking the tube all the way will involve one change at Green Park and it takes about 1.5 hours
From Gatwick Airport the overground train gets you to West Hampstead in about 1.5 hours. Or take the Gatwick Express with the tube. The latter is much quicker. Take the tube to Finchley Road tube.
From London City Airport it involves one change. Take Dockland Light Railway (DLR) then change to the Jubilee Line tube. Very convenient and fast.
From Luton and Stansted Airports the coach stops only 7 minutes walk from the flat at a stop called O2 Centre Finchley Road tube.
The train from Luton Airport brings you to West Hampstead in about 1.5 hours.
Finchley Road station is served by two tube lines-Metropolitan and Jubilee lines.
There are also 24 hour night buses serving the area. Great if you are out late and do not want to pay expensive London Taxi charges.

I love my sofa bed and uses it when the rooms are full and when I am too tired to travel to my riverside apartment which is also listed in Airbnb. My day to day essentials are in this flat.

Miele Fridge for milk and microwaveable food
Kettle in the kitchen or one is provided in the bedroom with tea and coffee but you are welcome to bring your own if the ones I have do not suit you.
Living room with a 50 inch Panasonic LED Smart TV
The apartment has wooden oiled oak floors without pets. Great for allergy sufferers who finds carpets not suitable.
Interaction with guests
We usually invite our guest to join us on theatre trips, eating out or sometimes to eat with us.
We will interact with the guest as much as they wish to without intruding into their/our time and privacy.
The guests can come and go as they please. Just remember to lock the doors and take shoes off for hygiene reasons and keeping the oiled oak floor clean and good.
Other things to note
No pets or carpets so really suitable for allergy sufferers.
You have your own front door keys so there is no curfew.
You are provided with bed linen and towel.
If book as a single traveller you will have a single bed. Request must be made at the time of booking if you wish to have a super king size bed to sleep in and there is a small additional charge of £30 to prepare the super king size bed for a single person booking.
If you book as a couple you will get a super king size bed anyway as it is included in the price per night for two guests.
I also have a kettle, English tea and coffee in the room. But guest are welcome to bring their own if this does not suit.
There are many brands of shampoo and body wash. I leave guest to supply own toiletries as each guest will have its own preferences. But you are welcome to use my ones.
If you wish to I can provide a small microwave.
This building is very old with charm, but building also needs a a major refurbishment. We will start major works as soon as the funds are received by all the leaseholders.
I am sorry these 5 rules applies to home owner and guest.
Please do not be offended by the rules which are intended to guide you as guest and me as host. Airbnb has recommended clear definition of house rules.
Your co-operation will help keep my home a better place for the next guest and for the host too.
BASIC 5 rules
1. No shoes to be worn inside the flat due to oiled oak floor and the wood grains which will trap dirt and dust.
2. No Pets allowed.
3. No smoking allowed.
4. Please take care of my oiled oak floor by not dragging your suitcase along the floor.
5. Wipe the bathroom and shower area dry after shower.
6a. You are welcome with help to use the washing machine but at the following charges.
Laundry is charged extra and has to be paid direct to my account £5.00 per wash.
Email me so I can let you have my account details to transfer the money before using the washing machine.
This payment is inclusive of laundry powder and fabric softener.
6b. You are welcome to wash by hand in the bathroom and please leave your washings hanging in the bathroom radiator rail only. You can purchase hand wash liquid from the supermarket eg Waitrose. UNTIL THE WASHING IS DRY PLEASE DO NOT HANG IN THE BEDROOM. THE WET CLOTHES WILL DAMAGE THE WOODEN FLOOR AND THE DAMP CLOTHES WILL CAUSE WET STAIN ON CURTAINS.
6c. Alternatively and most guests like it too. There is a laundry service just 5 minutes walk from the flat on Fairhazel Gardens.
Directions: Turn left when you leave the house. At the cross road turn right into Fairhazel Gardens. You will see some shops on the right hand side and the laundry service is on this side.
They are reliable and only 5 minutes walk away.
You can leave your laundry there in the morning. They wash and fold for you. You can collect later on your way home. But you must bring your own laundry powder and fabric conditioner or buy from them.
The charges are quite competitive as all my guest uses them and has not complained.
They also offer washing and ironing service for shirts at very competitive price. For other items check with them if ironing service is available.
They are open early until quite late almost 7 days a week. Check with them opening times and charges.
All my guest found them convenient and fair with charges and that is why I can recommend them.
7. Use of microwave in the kitchen is allowed only for warming up prepared food. Waitrose, Sainsbury, Marks and Spencer, etc are some supermarkets which makes excellent tasting microwaveable food which only needs to be warmed up.
Sadly due to insurance reasons the use of my gas hob for cooking is NOT permitted.
8. You are welcome to use the fridge for leaving milk, yoghurt and prepared food. We will give you a shelf or sufficient space to leave your food.
9. You can use the kettle in the kitchen or we can also leave you a kettle and mug to use in the bedroom.
10. You are welcome to use the cutlery we have in the kitchen and washing up liquid is provided with a tea towel for drying.
