I was not the recipient of Richard's hospitality, as I reserved the room for my parents--who do not use online services--so they could come see their granddaughter graduate from University of Oregon. They expressed that they appreciated Richard's willingness to have a "very nice conversation" about their stay by phone before they did something so unusual for them as to stay in a home of a person they'd never met. They told me the house and the room were very nice, and they felt very welcomed. Richard was also quite accommodating with me through our email conversation about my parents' needs while there. I felt like they were in very good hands. I will gladly recommend Richard's home to anyone.

This was our very last AirBnB stay on our return leg for our family road trip from California to Canada. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet with Richard and his family since they were off on their own family travels. However, their family friend Clay was able to let us in and made us feel very welcomed. He made sure we knew where everything was and our needs were met. Richard communicated all the necessary information prior to arrival and made sure that Clay also communicated with us as well since he (Richard) would not be at home. The bedroom upstairs could get a little warm, but the house fan really helped to cool things down. The house itself was very comfortable and just felt like a happy family belongs here. We enjoyed seeing the many family photos displayed and the clean, cozy house made our stay very relaxing. The front and backyard spaces were very charming filled with blueberry bushes and strawberry plants among other flora. This simply a very picturesque home and we were fortunate enough to spend a brief, but restful stay before our 8+ hours drive back to California.

This was my initial Airbnb experience, Richard was warm and welcoming! Hospitable and accomodating but not invasive. The home is beautiful and accurately described, we felt like family staying there. Highly recommended especially for those needing a place close to UO!
