This studio apartment comes with a full sized bed, and accommodates 1-2 guests. Catch a breath of fresh air in out patio.

From this wonderful location in Berkeley, you can take a 5 minute walk to the Ashby BART station, which can take you practically anywhere in the Bay Area. You can take BART directly to UC Berkeley, or into Downtown Berkeley. Downtown Berkeley is known for its amazing family owned restaurants and coffee shops, many of which are vegan, fair trade, and/or health conscious. This area offers dining options from anywhere in the world! There are also several hip bars nearby, including Hoi Polloi Brewpub & Beat Lounge, Nick’s Lounge, and Prizefighter - all within walking distance, among many others.

Expect some wear and tear at our property. We state this here so that you know what you're getting.

Our home has an electronic lock or lockbox located on or near the entrance. Before and during your stay, you will have access to our mobile-friendly House Manual that contains check-in instructions, access instructions, amenity details, FAQs, and a reporting tool for maintenance requests. The codes needed to enter the property are available 48 hours prior to check-in in our online house manual.

Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. We travel often and have help managing guest services for our home while we are away. The Pillow team will be available for assistance via email.

Thank you in advance for respecting our house rules, they are very important to us. Please keep a reasonable volume so as to not disturb our neighbors, and do not invite other guests or have parties. We would appreciate it if you wash any dishes you use during your stay, and please note that pets and smoking are not allowed on the property. Try to leave the house in the same condition you found it as when you first arrived. You will be staying at a Pillow Homes approved property and guests are required to follow the Pillow rules and terms.

The only thing nice about this place is that it was easy to check in and out and had ample parking. But for the price the actual apartment was probably the equivalent of a low star motel. No thought has gone into how to make it a nice experience. For example is was missing some basic items that other airbnbs have: kettle, hair dryer, a shelf in the shower, enough cutlery, a method for lighting the stove better than the cheapest, bendiest matches ever, a heater that doesn't smell like gas. I got the impression that this is nothing more than a minimal effort way for the owner to make money. It would be fine if it was cheap, but this is priced similarly to way better places in the area. Don't stay here unless it's cheaper than other options.

We enjoyed staying at Rohit's place. It was accurately described. Very easy stay! However no shampoo/conditioner. Bring your own. The room was very clean and plenty of towels were provided. No A/C in the room! If you are visiting during warm weather, I would plan accordingly. Very close to Ashby Bart station! Very convenient! I would recommend!

No toilet paper, no garbage bags. stove wasn't working (after the fact Pillow told me there was some switch I needed to press but never communicated this) so poor communication. This pillow service refused to refund more than just the cleaning deposit.. Completely over priced tiny room in hood with lack of communication, professionalism, no soap, shampoo ..shower curtain barely hanging on, parking spot had cones setup limiting parking, neighborhood walking at your own risk, run down house, apartment pretty much as pictured..just a tiny over priced night sleep without basic necessities. If you bring your own things and lock the door tight (deadbolt doesn't work) you might come out unscathed

The apartment was very close to the Ashby BART, which was extremely convenient. The space was clean and there were plenty of towels and linens. The free wifi was really helpful especially for one of our guests who had to check her work email. Pillow (the company that rents the property) provided excellent customer service. There are only a few things that I would suggest to be aware of. There was only one comforter on the bed so if you have someone sleeping on the futon, you may have to ask for another, though we were fine with using the extra sheets. If you store anything in the freezer, check to make sure it's on. We put ice cream in it and found the next day that it was cold, but not frozen. Also, the shower got nice and hot but the bathroom faucet never seemed to get warm. Again, not a big deal and I'm sure Pillow will address any concerns as they come up.

The place was clean and neat. Very convenient to the public transportation. Pillow team was also considerate enough that they provided shampoo and soap with extra clean towels. The lock was a bit confusing at first but with their clear and careful instructions we were able to figure out. They also have frequent messages to check on how we are doing. We feel safe and satisfied.
