I love living in Portland. I feel so fortunate to be part of a vibrant community. I am the co-founder of a nonprofit business organization that is working on issues of affordable and stable housing, safe transportation and economic development.
I'm so fortunate to live in a really fun neighborhood -- Clinton/Division (also called Richmond) -- the home of some of Portland's greatest restaurants including Nuestra Cocina, Pok Pok, Whiskey Soda Lounge and more! Do not miss the SE Wine Collective on SE 35th/Division!
As a single woman living with a dog and cat, I tend to spend a lot of evenings out on the town with friends or hosting friends on my back patio. I'm a warm and kind person and love sharing information about my city (as well as nearby hiking trails) with folks who are new to town. If you're looking to move to Portland, I have a great network of folks you can meet either for job hunting or real estate options.

During your stay
I'm the co-founder of a young nonprofit organization and have a very busy schedule, so I'm usually coming and going, and when I'm home, I'm usually working. I'm happy to provide guidance for your stay in Portland -- I love sharing highlights about my town! -- but you're free to go your own way, too. Feel free to ask me about Portland as well as day trips to the coast and mountains. I love to play travel agent!
The bathroom is shared. This is usually not a problem for anyone. Typically, my guests are on vacation and are on a pretty flexible schedule, and I am off to work in the mornings. It's inevitable that there will be times when we'll want to be in the bathroom at roughly the same time. I find that chatting the evening before about the next day's schedule is a pretty easy way to avoid most scheduling conflicts.
My house is small, so I keep stuff in all the small closets including the one in your room. I will need to access your room occasionally to get stuff. I usually do this in the evening when my guests are out. I will, of course, be very respectful of your space and will always ask you before coming into the room!
