As soon as we arrived, we felt part of the wonderful place that is Penmerryl Farm, and that is down to Deanie, Ken and their family. The cabin we stayed in was delightful, spotlessly clean and with everything we needed (including thoughtful little touches to make British guests feel immediately at home). There was lots to do, canoeing, swimming, tennis, and it's a great place for families. The scenery is amazing, and it is a terrific place to relax and enjoy your stay. If you get the chance to stay there - take it!

This is the second year my friends and I have stayed at Penmerryl Farms. Gammon and Jennifer are such friendly people and very welcoming. It's very easy to check in and check out. The breakfast is still delicious (and really why we always look forward to coming back). The only comment would be that the Wi-Fi is sometimes hit or miss, but cell service is just fine. The fun part about staying at a horse farm is that you get to see the horses and watch horse shows, which is a bonus! My friends and I are certainly looking forward to coming back next year.

Loved staying in the cabin with our immediate family from China, NY and NC. Enjoyed visiting horses and pool with the baby and 4 year old.

This is a very quiet B&B and probably best for horse owners. The cabin was spacious and beds were comfortable and the large front porch is cozy. On the downside, the cabin was not very clean (I'm not a clean freak) . The only lake allowed for use is very small, green and unswimmable. We were never told or shown where things were unless the girls who live there told us. I saw pics on the website of poolside flower decorated breakfasts and it was not so. No one there was unfriendly but I didn't feel at home like I hoped and quite honestly was ready to go home at the 6 day mark

My husband, Ken, and I have raised our children here at Penmerryl and really enjoy sharing this wonderful place with others. We love to meet and host new people from all walks of life and all parts of the globe. I cook for and take care of my guests just like my family. I am originally from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada and Ken is from London, England. We spent 7 years living on a boat and sailing before coming ashore to raise our family.

And now that time has come to step back a little from Penmerryl and go back to the sea for a while, and we are so happy to introduce to you our new Co-host here at Penmerryl, Gammon Castellvi. Gammon is originally from Venezuela and so is fluent in Spanish. She is also a fabulous cook and will take excellent care of guests at breakfast! Another huge plus in having Gammon on board is that she is an accomplished Equestrienne, with years of horse experience and the ability to share her knowledge with guests.

This is a working horse farm. Enjoy the barns and visiting the horses. Our horses are competition horses and are frequently at shows. See how a horse farm operates! Horseback riding lessons can be arranged if an instructor is on site and is available. Most weekends we are competing!
