The house is lovely - cosy, welcoming and warm. It was great to have the hot tub and it was very kind of Sara to provide toys for the children. The location is great for the Golden Circle and Reykjavik, and a good starting point for day trips to the south and south-east. Overall a great place.

Myself and four friends came to Iceland to do a bit of exploring, but were looking to stay a bit outside of Rejkyavik. Heather's lodge fitted the bill perfectly, only a 20 minute drive from the city, but it felt as if you were in the middle of nowhere. The house was in an ideal location for local food shops and provided us with an ideal base to explore Iceland. Heather was very responsive if we needed anything and the house suited our needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to escape the city for a bit of relaxation.

We had great communication with Heather, leading up to and during our stay at the bungalow. The bungalow is equipped with everything you could need. Fantastic washing/drying facilities. Heather has really thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The location is perfect for the golden circle with a supermarket 5 mins drive away. We went for a walk in the surrounding area of the bungalow and treated ourselves to a dip in the hot tub when we got back. Iceland is breath taking, our stay here really helped make a fantastic first trip to Rekjavik with wonderful memories. We hope it won't be too long before we get to go back!

Great place to stay. Perfect for 7 of us. Haudur left us some salad and there was tea coffee etc. The children loved the hot tub. Great location for exploring the national park, the golden circle and Reykjavik. We booked on a free city tour on our first day which was great for getting orientated to Iceland and Reykjavik. There is a supermarket and petrol station just 5 mins down the road. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

We have just arrived home after a fabulous long weekend staying at the Lundur bungalow. Would we stay there again... definitely! After getting slightly lost on the way from the airport - incorrect SatNav, not bad directions - Hauður was on hand to help out and we received a lovely warm welcome. There were 8 adults staying at the bungalow and it was perfect size for us, even with only one toilet. Sitting in the hot tub with views of the snow capped mountain was breathtaking. Hauður even gave us use of the second hot tub next door if we wanted. There is a huge laundry room and plenty of towels and extra bedding if needed. It is a ten minute drive to the supermarket and takeway (KFC/Dominos), but there is a bus stop right outside if you don't have your own transport. Thank you Hauður!

I'm Haudur, my international friends call me Heather. I'm an economist with a degree from the University of Bifrost/ Iceland. Me and my husband Hafberg, we run the biggest greenhouse farm / cultivation of vegetables, in Iceland. Hafberg has his education as a specialist in gardening/greenhouse engineer, from Norway and he talks fluent Norwegian.

We are living at the greenhouse farm, Lambhagi, close to our rentals, only 5min. drive. ("the Bungalow-Lundur#1" and "the Modern house-Lundur#2", see listings at Airbnb - Lundur, Mosfellsdalur).

Lambhagi greenhouse farm is in Reykjavik Capital Area, the buildings are surrounded by trees that Hafberg has planted throughout the years, millions of them.
We are environmentalists, we take pride in honouring our environment and every moment we have, we travel in the highlands of Iceland, discovering and enjoying the beautiful untouched nature that is all around us in Iceland.

We are also world travellers and we travel as much as we can, every year we travel the world to new unknown and to places we've already been to and love. We have made wonderful friends all over the world and look forwards meeting more people and hosting.

In the greenhouses at Lambhagi we grow salads, various interesting herbs and more. We even have bees and sell out of Lambhagi delicious honey that some say is the best of the world. Our spinach is famous as the best in the country, so are other products. Our cultivation is totally sustainable, we use water and sun to grow our vegetation and vegetables, no pesticides nor preservatives is used in the process. The business has been growing fast, in relation to the growing demand on pure products and organic cultivation and recently we expanded our business and built one of the most advanced, high tech- greenhouses in Europe, 1500 sq meters, completed in 2015. See the homepage of Lambhagi.
