The Old Granary is a renovated C18th grain barn on the Newby Hall Estate. Overlooking the Yorkshire Dales with a view of Ripon Cathedral, it is ideally situated with easy access to many of Yorkshire’s best attractions, walks & market towns.

A very comfortable superking bed plus 2 x pull out full size single beds means the cottage can be ideal for small families too. There’s ample free onsite parking.

The space
The barn is recently renovated, with an open plan kitchen, dining, living area. The real oak kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The living area has two very large and comfortable sofas and a smart TV offering all the streaming services for you to log into.

The bedroom is very light and spacious with lovely exposed beams and sky lights. The super king size bed is reviewed for being very comfortable, and comes with two pull out full size single beds catering for 4 adults or a family with two children. The bedroom is en-suite with a bath and powerful overhead shower.

There is access to the garden with stunning views across the Yorkshire Dales, and Ripon Cathedral.

We now accept one well-behaved dog (we have two small children so strictly only well behaved dogs welcome). However, to respect others, dogs are strictly not allowed upstairs or on the furniture. If this house rule is broken, an additional deep cleaning fee will apply.

Other things to note
The Old Granary is in the countryside surrounded by wonderful wildlife & woodland. A certain amount of ‘countryside life’ is therefore to be expected. We also have a very friendly cocker spaniel in our separate house nearby who occasionally likes to greet guests. If you are adverse to dogs, please let me know in advance and we will keep him out of the way.
