"The apartment is really nice, well designed, with a nice lanai on the pool. The place is very quiet so you'll have wonderful night of sleeping. In the apartment you'll find everything you need to make you're vacation a great one. They give you beach supplies and more. It's really in the center of Kona, so you don't have to drive to have breakfast or dinner, everything is really, really close, just a five minute walk or even less! If I ever come back to the Big Island I'll check for the availability of this place first!"

Your Ali'i Dr. Downtown Kona Beach Condo is just a few minutes walk along the beach road Ali'i Drive, the Ironman route, to get to the Start/Finish at the Kona Pier. Ironman guests who wish to stay longer than the minimum 10 Nights at Ironman rates can have their extra nights price reduced to non-event rates.

Kona Pier's ancestral grounds with its kid friendly white sand beach and calmer waters is ideal for a swim or a snorkel where you can also take dive tours, fishing charters, Hawaiian outrigger canoes, paddle boards, surf boards. Arrange Manta Ray snorkeling excursions, surfing lessons, helicopter tours to the volcano, day-trip bus tours of the island.

Our beautiful studio condo is suitable for 2 adults.. You have a comfy queen-size bed and an adjacent daybed that can easily be made into a separate comfy bed with 75 inch or 1.9 meter-long regular mattress (see photos). There is a combined living, dining, bed area plus complimentary use of our fully-equipped galley kitchenette with family-size fridge. There is also a bathroom with pedestal sink, toilet, and shower. You have your own private lanai (balcony) where you can also dine or enjoy your favorite tropical drink with the glow of tiki torches around the pool and amidst the tropical foliage.

Newly upgraded Hawaiian condo on the 2nd floor (or called the 1st floor if you are European) of an Olde Hawaii plantation-style private residential building, one of seven , three-story buildings named after seven Hawaiian islands. Welcome to our Hawaii home! Our entire condo is all yours to make it your Hawaii island home base with access just steps away to Ali'i Drive's shops, over 30 restaurants, the Hulihe'e Palace, the famous Kona Pier and beaches. Your condo door access card obtained from the reception counter upon arrival also lets you enjoy the complimentary use of pool, hot tub, BBQ grills and utilize the coin-op laundry room. Please enjoy our condo and resort facilities as much as we do when we are there.

Other things to note
- HSTax: We are required by law to collect the GET and TAT combined lodging taxes of about 15% on behalf of the State of Hawaii. There is also a one-time $49 administration fee. You will be billed through Airbnb for these sometime after your reservation is confirmed.
- Our condo is suitable for 2 adults. As it is a studio condo, there is no separate bedroom.
- We have comfy real beds with real mattresses 75" in length. Our condo layout, furniture and fixtures are rated by manufacturers for a person's maximum height of 6'2" (188 cm), weight of 250 lb. (114 kg) per person.
- Our condo is not child-proof. Please do your own risk assessment upon arrival.
- Due to allergies, guests who require a service or comfort animal, must choose another condo whose owner specifically allows service animals in their condo. Thanks for understanding and complying.
- We strongly recommend guests purchase trip cancellation insurance that includes the cost of your lodging at our condo.
- Images, texts and photos by owners are ESP copyright protected by U.S. and international law.

Hot Tub and pool: You must wear footwear to get to this area. Read and heed posted rules at hot tub and pool. You must shower before using pool or hot tub. Observe hot tub age restriction, time use and temperature limits as the use of hot tub and pool can cause users fainting with tragic results. Tradesmen: As mentioned on our website, during your stay tradesmen may be doing maintenance on the property. The hot tub and/or pool may be closed for periods of time for maintenance.

Our condo resort is seaside in the heart of kona - right in the historic village of Kailua-Kona. The Farmer`s Market is one short block away for fresh Hawaiian floral leis and arrangements, fruit, vegetables and souvenirs. You can buy fresh sourdough and other bread just across the street at the Daylight Mind Cafe. ABC convenience stores nearby. There are hundreds of stores and kiosks to do your shopping as well as plenty of restaurants of all themes adjacent to our resort to tempt every palate and budget. The Hulahe'e Royal Palace and the Kona Pier are a short stroll along the beach road through the village. To get to the village, most tourists have to walk at least a mile or more or drive up to five miles or more and then try to find parking downtown to get where we are and where everybody else wants to be. You, on the other hand, would just step outside our property's garden pathway gate beach-side and you are right in the center of it all. Our condo is generally quiet as we don`t get the constant traffic noise from Ali'i Drive.

Worldwide adventure travelers After having purchased our Acapulco beach condo in 2006, we purchased our cozy romantic Hawaii condo in 2010. My husband, Ernie and I stayed at the Kona Islander Inn Private Condominiums over 20 years ago when we were researching Hawaiian locations, myths, legends and rich cultural history for our first novel. Needless to say we fell in love with the Olde Hawaii plantation architectural theme, the lush tropical grounds of almost 50 species of plants and. of course, our prime location. Some Europeans guests have called our Hawaii studio condo spacious, some North American guests have called it small but we call it just right for us and that`s all that matters as it is our home by choice. We live in our Hawaii home for several months every year. We and our daughter Sandra and her family have been gradually upgrading our unit whenever here. It is to the point where we are almost completed although we realize that upgrades and maintenance are ongoing by nature. We divide our time between our beach homes in Kona, Hawaii, as well as Acapulco, Mexico and our main residences in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. During your stay
Our local condo managing housekeeper is available on site. When not living in our condo in Kona, we live in British Columbia, Canada so we will not be there to meet you. Our private condo owners reception counter staff are there 8 am to midnight every day including all holidays to personally welcome you and check you in. We also have self check-in after hours from 11:30 PM to 8 AM. As always, Sharon and Sandra welcome your questions, suggestions and any concerns by email or phone. Please make yourself at home!
