This lakefront bunkhouse is perfect for your stay in the Morristown, Tazewell, Jefferson City, or Rutledge areas. We host folks from LMU, UTK football fans, and Bristol race fans!

Mainly folks love our indoor decor and our outdoor views. Whether you're a fisherman or lake lounger, you'll love the floating dock. And when you're done on the water, you'll love the cozy comfort indoors.

In the winter, our place makes a great executive furnished apartment. Ask about our off-season rates!

The space

Our space is great for couples, small families, or a group of close-knit friends. There is a full kitchen complete with a large refrigerator and freezer, stove, oven, and good-sized sink. While there's a table in the open kitchen/living area, we think you'll love the picnic area (complete with fire pit!) outside, between the bunkhouse and the lake. The living area features a very comfortable sofa and television. The bedroom has it's own television, where you can watch right from the bed. There are also two ottomans that convert into twin sleeper beds (and are way more comfortable than a sofa bed).

Guest access

You will have full use of our two lots at the lake. We have 1.5 acres of wide open space and a beautiful view across the lake. We have a basketball goal, picnic table, and a fire pit--so you can enjoy the outdoors even when you're not on the lake!

Interaction with guests

We live about 14 miles away from the bunkhouse, so if you ever need anything, we can help.

Other things to note

We are not a party house. Our bunkhouse is located in a neighborhood, and we ask that you be respectful of our place and the neighborhood.

Our weekend spent at Shawn's serene, beautifully located, refreshing lake house was exactly what my lady and I needed to re-discover each other and feel that brand new love through the stressors of work and school. Great for couples looking for a romantic getaway. He definitely set our expectations high with this one (first time Airbnb users here)! It was everything the reviews had mentioned with a little extra touch of personal amazement. The drive onto the property was a tad bit bumpy but not nearly as difficult as I had anticipated considering the location. Our Dodge Journey took it like a champ. While stepping out of the vehicle and unpacking our luggage, the neighbor's dogs were a bit standoffish. However, after enough time with and exposure to us we found them to be great companions for our afternoon walks along the shore. Perfecting the simplistic layout of one living room/kitchen, one bedroom and one bathroom we felt right at home with our first steps inside. Very cleanly, the decor is aesthetically unique and pleasing and the couches and beds were exceptionally cozy. The AC could turn the house into a walk-in cooler if you're hotblooded like myself, or an oven if you're like my other half. The wifi was fast and reliable for streaming and downloading on multiple devices. All amenities aside, the most incredible aspect of it all was the scenery. Walking outside and seeing the gorgeous sunrise on lake's horizon was a priceless moment. As an early-riser, viewing it in full stole a couple of hours my first morning there. The lake itself is immaculate, with a largely expansive area to fish, swim, skip rocks, sunbathe and many other activities. The only problem I experienced here was the lack of hot water in the shower. Although I believe this was only the case because the lady can't stand anything but steaming hot water. Don't pass up this opportunity of a lifetime!!!

My family (husband & 3 year old son) and I traveled to Tennessee from South Florida to take refuge from Hurricane Irma. By the time we decided to leave I had to find a place quickly because they were running out. I reached out to Shawn late one night and he responded immediately. The booking was very quick and easy and he was super flexible with us by allowing us to extend our visit if needed/available. He also allowed late check in and was available right away when we had an issue with our code. The place is absolutely amazing. You really can't beat the view, either. It's an incredible piece of land and we thoroughly enjoyed our four nights there. We were able to make a fire a couple of nights and make s'mores. The place was quaint and tidy, the water was hot and the linens and towels were super clean. I was able to make a full meal in the kitchenette, too. Even though it's in a neighborhood, it feels very private but still not too far from close-by stores. It was less than 20 minutes from Walmart, etc. I would definitely recommend checking out Cook's Boathouse Restaurant for breakfast, too. Also, the Wi-Fi rocks as well as the smart TV! It was necessary to stay plugged in and monitor the storm. It was perfect. We enjoyed the break from the hot Florida weather, and, despite the circumstances, were able to make incredible memories as a family. We hope to make it back again and maybe it will be warmer out for us to take a dip in the lake. You will not be disappointed with this place! I do just want to add that there are two older dogs that belong to a neighbor that roam around once or twice a day but they are VERY friendly so don't be alarmed.

Bunkhouse is the perfect getaway. A bit of a drive from the main TN attractions but the view from the bunkhouse is amazing and the lake is incredible. My wife and I enjoyed the serenity of the area as well as taking a few day trips into other parts of TN. The bunkhouse is very clean and made for a great stay.

This tiny but somehow pretty spacious home was the perfect spot for our trip to Tennessee. Being from the city I had my reservations about how nice this house and area really could be while traveling up the winding road, in pitch black, to the top of what seemed to be a mountain to reach the house. The house was very nice and clean. Plenty of room for 3 people. Come morning walking out of the house to the most beautiful view of the lake was probably the best view. Our host, Shawn, was probably the most accommodating person ever. I had changed my plans a couple of times and he was nothing but patient with me. We were unable to get to the house until around 11pm and had an issue with getting into the house, well he answered his phone so fast I don't even think it rang. I would definitely stay at this airbnb again if I ever find myself in Tennessee again!

This bunkhouse was awesome! Perfect for my peaceful getaway. The place is extremely cozy clean. Just about has everything you'd want or need to stay at the place (minus the food). The dock was much bigger than expected and was an awesome surprise! Id recommend this to anyone.
