This flat is surrounded by a luxuriant mediterrean vegetation, it's really close to the beach and services. The living room faces the lake. Enjoy your breakfasts and dinners on the balcony, watching this beautiful environment.

The space

The apartment is located in a typical old-style summer residence with a large garden where lush vegetation surrounds the pool and the areas for sun beds. The accommodation is on the top floor and has a large balcony that overlooks the pool. In the living area a large window allows you to create an open / close effect and enjoy a continuous visual contact with the vegetation and the lake. The kitchen is properly separated from the living room and also the sleeping area with bedrooms and bathrooms is served by an access corridor. The orientation of the rooms is very functional. The northern exposure of living room and balcony allows you to relax without the direct sunlight, which especially on summer days can be annoying and unbearable. Bathrooms are facing east and enjoying a beautiful morning light. The bedrooms are arranged so as to avoid the sun during the hottest afternoon hours.

Guests can take advantage of:
- Private covered parking on the property
-Locked room for Bikes.
-Sun beds
-all the elements of comfort inside the apartment (fully equipped kitchen, towels, sheets and blankets).

If you have never visited Lake Garda before and are unsure about Desenzano, let me put your mind at rest. The location of the flat is just a couple of minutes' walk to the lake where you can get a ferry to various other towns, hire a boat and partake of other water sports. The flat is on the third floor with great views and is an easy 30 minute drive from the airport if you are hiring a car. We found Buchbinder had the best prices: the earlier you book the car, the cheaper it is. The flat is also literally just minutes' walk from bus and coach stops for Verona and Venice if you feel like someone else taking the strain. The Penny Market and Simply supermarkets are both close (a couple of minutes by car). The old town is a 15-20 minute stroll away and there is plenty to see and many places to eat. If you want to explore further, then Peschiera offers interesting shops (especially clothes); Monte Baldo is about an hour's drive (the cable car up the mountain is worth the queue); and Salo is also interesting, and about a 40 minute drive. Do find the time to take the ferry to Sirmione which is just 20 minutes away: it costs just €6 for a return. The only caveat is that you may find that your credit card isn't accepted everywhere! Mine was fine on the autostrada (for tolls) and in some restaurants but elsewhere the Italian banking system didn't like it. Overall, this location was perfect and the flat had everything we required. Oh, and don't worry about driving in Italy: the mayhem that is Rome and Milan doesn't extend to Lake Garda... Lovely part of the world. Great flat, well worth the flights of stairs up there! Good parking, nice bedrooms, two bathrooms and the new armchair is awesome! Got to say, we never went out on the balcony - we had a 15 month old baby with us and there is a big gap at the bottom of the concrete wall. Easy to fit small head/shoulders through. So, doors shut. BUT lovely flat and Gian is super friendly on What's App.

Gian was extremely helpful from the very beginning, many months prior to our stay, and was very quick to respond to any and all queries. His father Luigi greeted us at the flat, even though we were delayed and arrived later than originally planned which we were very grateful for. They had even kindly left us with essentials in the fridge and items for breakfast for the next day which was really generous! The flat itself is lovely and much closer to the amenities than we originally thought, Rivoltella is a lovely town and the flat is a short walk away from the lake (it's just over the road) which is great. The weather was very hot whilst we were there, so Gian's very fancy fans were a welcome relief and the pool was great for cooling down in and much bigger than we thought! The pool has quite a few rules (out of Gian's control) it opens at 09:00 and you're not supposed to go in between 13:00-15:30 or after 20:00 and you're only allowed 2 sunbeds which can be a little restricting. Gian's mother and father were very helpful during our stay, and when we asked Gian if there was another coffee pot as the normal size wasn't quite big enough for us (big coffee drinkers), his mum kindly popped over and brought 2 more for us! The kitchen was very well stocked and contained everything you could possibly need. The location of the flat is great, away from the busy hubbub of Centro Desenzano (about a 30min walk, or 5 mins in car), but also situated in an area with amenities all around, with ristorantes 10min walk away too. The covered parking space was great, kept the car cool and was very secure. We loved the balcony, it was perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a casual drink in the evening. All in all we loved our stay, and would love to return, highly recommend!

Lovely airy flat overlooking the pool with a view out to the lake. You can walk into Desenzano but it does take approx 20 mins. Good location for getting about in general. Rossi and Rossi restaurant next door was handy. Gian's dad was a gracious host and Gian's communication was very good. Thanks very much, we had a great holiday!

We stayed here as part of a family holiday (2 adults, 2 children ( aged 9 & 7 )). The accommodation was excellent. It feels like it is used as a home, so has more kitchen equipment and other items than you sometimes find in holiday apartments. The bedrooms are of a good size, with comfortable beds. The living area with dining table had lots of space, but we rarely used it as we spent more time eating and relaxing on the balcony. The balcony has a great view towards the hills over the lake, and we watched some spectacular electric storms in the evenings..! It's worth noting that we stayed at a very hot time and we were grateful that the balcony provided shade for most of the day. The pool was much bigger than the photos suggest (we hadn't realised that there is also a toddler pool) and we were often the only ones in the pool. The host was very helpful and we'd thoroughly recommend staying here. Thankyou Gian!
