Description

The space

Reflection Lake is not big but at our backyard reflecting houses, trees, and clouds into its tranquil water like its name. Reflection Lake Bed and Breakfast is featured by a large deck with tranquility of a lake view, a mountain view, and restfulness of the rooms that are comfortably decorated to make you feel at home after a long day of outdoor excitement.

Sitting on the deck of our property to enjoy your cup of coffee, you can really relax and feel the sereneness while watching the chase of ducks and geese on the water and the drifting of kayaks. Unlike in some places where is water there is high level of humidity, it is dry in Anchorage even by the lake.

Inside the property, the living room and the dinning room combination overviews the Reflection Lake and its brightness and cathedral ceiling make you feel open and pleasant. A clean and fresh kitchen is adjacent to the eating area also facing the lake. Of course you can choose to have your morning coffee on the deck at the lake where the happy feeling of the day is generated. On the second floor, we have a cozy loft area where you can watch TV and kids can have fun there. Office with a computer and a phone is next to the laundry room; both are on the second floor and for your convenience.

Interaction with guests

Choosing where to stay is choosing a life attitude. By nature, we, Jason and Annie have been exploratory in our lifetime. We came originally from China over 20 years ago to put down the roots in the U.S. to study, work, and enjoy life. We have stayed in Arizona, Utah, Michigan, and Alaska. We like them all for their respective uniqueness, particularly Alaska for its natural beauty, colorful outdoor events all year round, and its people. We highly appreciate what we have experienced.

We also love cooking, traveling, classical music, and entertaining friends. We want to proudly share with you our experiences in Alaska—a piece of paradise.

You will enjoy our hospitality through our service, as we are bilingual professionals with the passion for life and nature.

We offer full breakfast that includes:
1. Milk, yogurt, and cereals
2. Fresh fruit and juice
3. Coffee and tea (green, red)
4. Bread, rolls, or bagels/muffins
5. Egg or meat dish of the day

Jason and Annie are exceptional hosts! We were only there for one night, but found ourselves wishing we could have spent another couple of nights just visiting with them. They are very sweet and kind people. Their home is immaculate, welcoming, and beautiful! We loved the deck overlooking the lake. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept quite well. They made an amazing breakfast for us! We especially loved their Chinese porridge. My husband ran a half marathon after breakfast, and is convinced that the porridge helped him with his run. Jason and Annie packed some food for him for after the race, including an omelette, yogurt, and fruit, and he was able to eat it all on the way home from the race. We know that if we ever spend the night in Anchorage again, we will hope to spend it with Jason and Annie.

We just loved Jason and his wife's hospitality with their warm welcome to their sweet home. My daughter surprised me by saying we should buy this kinda home!! They even shared some tips of all the places where we can visit within Anchorage and overall Alaska. Their breakfast was not continental as mentioned in the description but it was much more elaborate, more then our appetite and even served one of the Salmon which they caught on their own. It was really a memorable stay and will do it again whenever we are there in Anchorage!!

Jason and Annie are amazing hosts. Their hospitality was beyond belief. They made sure I felt comfortable and I felt like I am at home. I am a vegetarian and Annie took it into consideration and served delicious breakfast. The location is perfect as it is just a few miles away from downtown and seward highway. I will definitely consider coming here again in future.

Even though we arrived late in the night, Jason had made arrangements to check-in. It was a cozy room with clean bathroom and amenities. We enjoyed our stay there. Made a special dish for breakfast as we are vegetarians which we enjoyed. They also gave us tips regarding the places to visit during our vacation in Alaska.

Jason and Annie were amazing. The house/bedroom spotless. When we arrived they introduced us brought us in and we actually talked for a while about our upcoming trip to china. They were giving us advice of which parts would be better for us to go since it is our first time going. Breakfast was delicious and the spread was plentiful. Everything was amazing and we would def stay there again! Thank you for your hospitality!!

Staying with Jason and Annie was lovely! Very interesting people with a beautiful home. They served me a delicious breakfast in the morning, and sent my early rising friend off with a bag breakfast. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! We were upgraded to a larger room (w/no increase in cost), because the previous guests wanted to stay one more night-sweet!
