The space
You are welcome to partake in the spiritual life of The Temple of Isis, home of the Isis Oasis Sanctuary, by joining us for daily noon rites or by simply meditating at any of the numerous shrines and altars at our beautiful sanctuary. The Temple of Isis is the largest and oldest interfaith sanctuary dedicated to the Sacred Feminine in North America. We believe that all genuine offerings of the human heart are accepted by the Divine. Our sanctuary is the oldest modern spiritual community outside the California Missions.

It was established in 1880 as the north american center from the Baha'i faith, they left in 1974. From 1974 - 1976 this site was the home of the only Cannabis commune in the USA, founded and led by Dennis Peron, Godfather of the Medical Cannabis movement. From 1976, Our temple was founded by well known beatnik and enamel artist Loreon Vigne as a sanctuary for all souls. During our time here, we have played host to artists like Andy Warhol, The Velvet Underground and the Grateful Dead. Today we operate as a wildlife sanctuary and a transitional housing program to help all souls in need.

The Isis Oasis Grand Lodge is an exceptional place to stay if you are visiting wine country and looking for a singular spiritual experience. This historic building, built circa 1932, has twelve private rooms on the ground floor and two open floor-plan group spaces on the upper floor. Each room is decorated in dedication to a different Egyptian Goddess and holds a description of the attributes she represents. Ceiling fans, colorful draped netting, and unique artifacts help complete the look.

The building also features a comfortable lounge overlooking a sparkling swimming pool, shared dorm-style bathrooms located down the hallway (separate bathrooms available for women and for men), and central heating.

Free Wi-Fi and a coffee and tea bar are available for all guests to use in our spacious dining pavilion. A small library, collections of puzzles and games, and a gas fireplace provide a cozy setting in which to relax and unwind.

Visit our community garden, or request an animal tour to see our menagerie of exotic rescued cats, birds, and reptiles! We are a licensed 501(c) non-profit and any tax-deductible donations go towards the care and upkeep of our animals and grounds.

Whether you are coming alone or with company, you will find Isis Oasis a refreshing departure from the traditional hotel or motel.

**NOTE: If you're coming as a group, multiple rooms can be rented out simultaneously and the entire Lodge can be rented out for larger parties. Ask about our catering options! Please note that if other rooms in the Lodge are rented, you will be sharing the facilities/amenities with other guests. We do offer a number of other rental options on property if you prefer more privacy. See our full listing options by typing 'Isis Oasis Sanctuary' in your AirBNB search bar.**

Guest access
Each room rental gives you access to your own private room, shared bathrooms down the hall, and a shared lounge room with couches & a view of our pool.

Guests are also welcome to use the dining pavilion, which features a gas fireplace and a well-stocked coffee and tea bar. Food storage is available in a mini refrigerator in our lodge.

Our small temple and theater are always open for prayer or quiet reflection. The pool, hot tubs, and sauna are available year-round.
