Quiet, bright studio apartment on the 4 floor of a landmark building in the historical centre. The train, bus and ferry stations to Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Naples, Rome are within 5 minutes' drive .

The space

It's a quiet, lively typical mediterranean studio. While staying there, you wont' realize to be at the centre of the town !

Guest access

The apartment overlooks a small flowery terrace with a view over the Cathedral.

Other things to note

Salerno is a quiet, small city well connected by public transport to all the major tourist attractions. Your stay in my studio will allow you to visit all the places of interest of South Italy without having to bear the stress of living in a chaotic southern italian city or in an inefficient remote area.

Salerno is a wonderful place to be submerged in Italian culture. The apartment itself is lovely and salerno had great links to amalfi or nearby beaches as well as attractions such as Pompeii. Our time spent in salerno would not have been the same withouf raf. She was an absolute delight...welcoming, kind and was so lovely. She was more like a friend than a host and we had such a wonderful time spent with her. Thank you raf! We will be back soon!

The flat in the middle of the historic part of the city was as beautiful as the view from the terrace. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our own "italian" food and the bed very comfortable. Raf was very helpful with recommendations (e.g. pizzeria resilienzia) and a perfect host! Parking is a bit of a hustle, we recommend parking near the docks (20 mins walk from the flat but for free). We'd love to come again!

Overall in comparison to the other houses you find in Salerno, this one has a very good price/quality rate. The location is in the center and very close to the beautiful Minerva Garden. The view is nice, though you cannot use the terrace to have a breakfast/dinner. Raffaella is very thoughtful, always ready to help and very flexible with the check in-out. She also left us breakfast which we appreciated a lot. It's an attic and it's normal to have a low ceiling, but since the bed was exactly under the lower part of the ceiling, it was a bit difficult to move in that side of the bed and the bathroom curtain was a little too small so we had to do our best to avoid a flooded bathroom. Besides these two things I have no complaint.

Response from Raffaella:
Hi thank you for your review and for the care you put in keeping the bathroom, but i have two rugs which could absorb the water... we have tried to have a shower box but it is difficult. The photos on the website show how it is and they are faithful . About the terrace you are most welcome to have meals outside!!!We never said you couldn't. The only thing we said was to respect the place and do not make much noise and leave it clean afterwards.... I am sorry if you didn't use the terrace for any misunderstandings. cheers raf

We had a wonderful time in Salerno. The flat covers everything one needs and if still something is missing you can always ask Raffaella. Only the bathroom was tiny, so it could be challenging for taller people. Although, we stayed there in August, it was not too hot. So the free air conditioner is a big benefit. Raffaella was a really good host. Her friendly way and recommendation helped us a lot to discover the area.

Response from Raffaella:
Hi Julia, Thanks for being with us. I know about the shower which is the only downfall of the studio flat!!!! Every photo shows how it is. I strongly suggest tall people to sit on the plastic stool I provided, so to overcome the inconvenience. This is so far the only complaint I have had. I noticed that you did not mention the terrace which is nice and can be used especially at night or any time when it is not so hot..... I hope to see you again raf

Raffaella was a lovely host! Both her and her husband were warm and welcoming! Raffaella was very sweet, helpfull and added to the positive experience of the trip to Salerno. The cosy apparment was very well located, and it was easy to get to train, bus and ferry. All in all it was lovely stay and we would very much love to comeback :-)

Great communication with Raf, very helpful with recommendations and information on how to get around. Apartment has easy access to ferries and the train station. This apartment is definitely not suitable for tall people - the shower especially is a little cramped. Raf left us a generous amount of breakfast supplies which we appreciated.

This apartment is extremely cute! Amazing views and perfect for us and our 5 day stay. Raffaella was an amazing host very much welcomed us in and gave us lots of about getting around some nice recommendations for places to eat. It was very close to city centre where lots of restaurants and shops were. Very easy to get ferries to other parts of the south coast and reasonably priced. Only thing is shower was small and a bit annoying to use other then that the apartment was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Very much recommended
