We offer our lovely vacation home on the island of Aegina. Aegina is an island close to Athens.

The uniqueness of this house is that it is located high up with a back garden, so you can enjoy a cool breeze, tranquility, a beautiful view over the sea and over the hills. In addition, you can walk to the sea in five minutes. The house is located on a cul-de-sac, so you will experience wonderful tranquility.

The space
The house consists of a separate upstairs and downstairs apartment, of which the upstairs apartment is described below. The downstairs apartment is not rented out during the rental of the upstairs apartment, so you have complete privacy.

The space
The upper house consists of a living room with balcony, spacious equipped kitchen with corner arrangement, bathroom with bathtub and shower and a small washing machine. The bedroom has a large wardrobe, double bed and air conditioning. This room is suitable for two people (with the possibility for a 3rd small person, if desired).

In the living room, there is a dining table, a fireplace and two modern sofa beds that can be used.

Take advantage of the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, where you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch, coffee or drink.

Because the house is located high, you have a beautiful view over the sea and the wooded hills and there is a lovely cool wind. You can hear the sea softly in the background when you wake up and drink a cup of coffee on the balcony or from the open window of the living room.

Aegina is not a large island (85 km2) with the highest peak the mountain Oros at 532 meters. From the temple of Zeus, you can take a nice walk to the top. The view from here is spectacular.

The Greek island also has several interesting and important sights. The Temple of Afaia (Aphaia), the largest church of Greece Agios Nektarios, the acropolis Kolona, the ancient capital Palaiochora Aegina, archaeological museums and the capital Chora are well worth visiting during your holiday.

Aegina is well known for their pistachios. Directly when you arrive at the port of Chora these nuts and other pistache products are offered. In shopping streets behind the boulevard you can taste a nice pistachio product and it is also an original souvenir.

Hello! We are Nathanaël (Dutch) and Panagiota (Greek), married for almost 10 years now and living in the Netherlands with our son and daughter. We love Greece and enjoy visiting the islands, going to the sea and having a late diner in small local restaurants. We are, since 2021, owners of a beautifull summer house on the island of Aegina. Our house is located on a small hill at Vagia. On the one side we can see the sea and on the other side the forest on a small mountain. We are happy that via Airbnb we can share this beautifull, peacefull place with people who would like to enjoy their holidays at a lovely Greek Island. Spend a day on the beach, drive with your scooter or car on the island to small local villages or walk to the top of the mountains to get the best view. You can also visit the Monastery of Saint Nektarios (10 minutes by car) or other small churches and monasteries of the island.
