Our home is a vacation destination. The balcony offers a breathtaking, panoramic view of Shuswap Lake and the surrounding mountains and the back yard boasts a fire pit, a hot tub and a 9 foot deep, in-ground pool with a slide. We are located on a cul de sac in a quiet neighborhood. We are 7 minutes from downtown, from the lake, from the recreation center and from the grocery store. It is the perfect location to take in all the Shuswap area has to offer!
Our home is large and spacious with lots of room for everyone. The pool, fire pit and hot tub are great for outdoor activities. Indoors there is fibre optik TV upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs, there is a rec room with a treadmill and home work out equipment, a small library, a puzzle and game collection. Upstairs there is cozy furniture surrounding an indoor fireplace.
The accomodations include 2 floors. The top floor has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, dining room, living room, kitchen, top deck. The downstairs includes a 2nd bathroom, a rec room another bedroom, the lower deck which includes an outdoor eating area.
The front yard is great for a morning coffee or a game of badminton. Since we are in a cul de sac there is very little traffice. The back yard has the pool, the pool deck, the fire pit, the hot tub and a green space for outdoor games like lawn darts.
We strive to make our home warm, comfortable and liveable. It is great for families or groups of friends. Spend the day exploring and come back for a swim and a drink by the pool.
Spring and winter guests can access 3 world class ski resorts, all within an hours drive. Sun Peaks near Kamloops, Revelstoke Mountain and Silver Star Mountain near Vernon are all about equal distance from our home. Spend the day skiing then come back home for a hot tub and a drink by the crackling fireplace.
Guests have access to the hot tub, pool, fire pit, the upper deck, the lower deck, the front and back yards as well as all indoor amenities including the washer and dryer.
Our house does have a suite in it with a quiet, friendly tenant. They have a separate entrance and respect the privacy of our guests.
Interaction with guests
We will not be on site while our guests are at our house, but we are available by phone, text or e-mail. Our tenant who is on site, will manage the house and also be available to answer any questions or address concerns. The tenant/manager will be maintaining the pool, watering the flowers and taking care of any general maintenance issues.
Other things to note
There is a fence around our yard but not around the pool specifically. Any families with young children must provide vigilant supervision around the pool.
This is our home so we would appreciate if guests would treat it with respect and care. We do not allow pets or smoking. If you have young children and you are renting during the summer, they must be supervised at all times around the pool.
I love travelling and meeting new people. I grew up in a large family and we always had people coming and going in our home. My mom was a generous and gregarious host and who I like to emulate. I love looking at and taking pictures. I love tennis, hikes, canoeing and kayaking. I like going on motorcycle rides with my husband. I enjoy a good meal and a good glass of wine shared with family and friends.
