We felt very comfortable staying in Nina's space. What a unique experience to stay in piece of history. The location was great and the views were amazing. Thank you Nina!

Fantastic stay. When we arrived, Nina met us at the Funiculare station and gave us a ride to the home. She had prepared fruit and snacks and classical music filled the air. The chandelier was glowing against the windows full of views. The concave brick ceilings are just like the ones you will find in the historical museum parts of the Cathedral in the town. It is hard to describe the beauty of this unique place. Nina has thought of every detail in this historical renovated beauty. It is filled with art, comfortable chairs, a gorgeous chandelier, and huge beveled windows with priceless views of the valleys below. Gardens surround and you have full access to a beautiful gazebo with table and chairs, garden seating with roses and many other plants and flowers. There is also another huge table big enough for 8 for a garden feast. It feels like a castle. It sits right on the edge of the cliff with knockout views of the valleys. Truly breathtaking panorama views are for your taking during day and night. Since few can have homes on the edge, this beautifully renovated historical home must be one of the only ones available due to its historical origins as a church. It is elegant, unique and every detail has been lovingly attended by this professor of architecture. The bed and table, art deigns by the artist gallery in Orvieto, Michelangeli, add perfect whimsicality as does the "black cat" in the window by the same gallery. It is short steps to the market on Thursdays and Saturdays and you live among locals. Nearby is the children's city park which brings local parents and children everyday to play. The park area is also a city lookout so you have access to an even greater view of the area and the cliffs right outside. Its just about two block to the the plaza and one more to the Via de Corso. We stayed three weeks and attended the I love IT Italian and Culture school just a few blocks away. It was just perfect. Paula and her husband help manage the property and are at the top of the drive so they can help anytime. Paula is a true delight to work with and is happy to wash your clothes, clean or show you around. Nina has parking which is hard to find on the top of Orvieto. That is a major plus as well. The shower area is small due to the requirements of this historically correct renovation but that was not a problem for us. It is such a dream, private place. We can highly recommend Nina's place to everyone who wants access to natural beauty and privacy. She also has a cave. All the pictures on this site are correct but they cannot adequately convey the beauty of Orvieto or of Nina's place. Will never forget the stay and hope to return one day.

Nina was a fabulous host, she met us where we parked our car and we followed her to the apartment. She made us feel very welcome. The apartment was in a fantastic location just on the edge of the town where you could walk in to the centre of town through interesting streets. We also enjoyed the walks around the edge of the town to view the cliffs and tombs and a great view back over the trees to Nina's place to walk off the chocolate croissants from one of her suggested eateries. The apartment was very comfortable, bedding light and yet warm with beautiful views from carefully framed windows. Garden was also a treat in the otherwise stone orientated town. I absolutely must mention Nina's helper/cleaner, Paula who was a delight, she spent time taking us around and pointing out the best places to eat, and also did some laundry and perfect ironing for us. She was always happy, smiling and so so gorgeous, worth the trip to Orvieto!! Thanks Nina and Paula.

For my first trip to Italy, I feel very privileged to have stayed at the most beautiful villa in all of Orvieto! Nina, the owner, made us feel so incredibly welcome with a gorgeous selection of fruits and wines! The villa is impeccably clean and thoughtfully decorated. What a fabulous place to come home to after long days of exploring! Honestly, the pictures do not do justice to the location, design or warmth of the villa. Oh, and the bed is just fabulous! Mrs. Paola msde our stay even more wonderful by having the villa sparkling clean every day for us! She even walked us into town to guide us to a fabulous restaurant our first night. Nina, a very busy woman, made time to accompany us when we needed help or directions! I would recommend this selection without hesitation!!! I will am already looking forward to my next stay!!! You will have no worries staying here.

We were so amazed when we were shown into the beautiful apartment that Nina allowed us to stay in. The light coming through the beautiful, tall, cut glass windows made the home feel so open and airy with sweeping views from the top of the hill where it sits overlooking the land way below the old wall that surrounds the city of Orvieto . Nina was out of town while we were there but her daughter met us and even went looking for us since we drove in we got lost and couldn't find our way to the home. One really doesn't need or want to drive while staying in Orvieto. We didn't use our car one time the whole week we stayed. There were two bottles of local and wonderful wine waiting for us along with a bowl of fresh fruit and some biscotti so we had enough to eat the next morning without needing to go shopping for groceries the first night. Very, very thoughtful. The home was impeccably clean and well stocked to cook our own meals. The bed linens were very high quality and the bed slept wonderfully. The home is decorated so thoughtfully with beautiful art so one feels you are staying in a home that has been decorated over time and thoughtfully collected. Paola is a local lady that comes to help clean each day for an hour and one day she even did our laundry. She was so very sweet and very helpful with any questions we had and she brought us fresh fruit from the local market on Thursday morning. We loved everything about this home and will plan to stay again with Nina if we can come back to Italy one day soon.
