We loved the view from the bedroom. The breakfast was always more than what we need to start the day. The neighbourhood was just as awesome. There's a microbrewery just across the apartment. A small museum, antique shop and other points of interest along the quiet and clean street. Bus 67 stops right around the corner, bus route goes to Zaandam station where one can connect by bus (easier/cheaper) or by train to downtown Amsterdam.

Jacob was a great host. Our flight arrived late and he drove all the way to the airport in the middle of the night to meet us. He left nice breakfast every morning for us, and also all kinds of information and tips on places to visit in Amsterdam. The room is beautiful, with an amazing view of the canal and the wind mills of the historic Zaanse Schans. The house is on a lovely quiet street with beautiful houses. 10 -15 min walk to the local train station, and then a comfortable 15-20 min ride to Amsterdam Central. All in all, we had a great time! Highly recommend Jacob's place.

Jacob's place offered us a place to relax in a quiet neighborhood. Our room had a beautiful view of the Zaan River and the Zaanse Schanse open air museum. The breakfast spread is delightful.

Fantastic host, amazing views, great location and an awesome breakfast. Jacob was a very hospitable host, check in was very simple and having information on the local area and Amsterdam was really useful. We really enjoyed the views from the bedroom and the boys loved using the kayak and swimming in the river. The buffet for breakfast was amazing and really started the day off. Would highly recommend this accommodation. Thanks

Beautiful house right on the Zaan river, such a beautiful location. The view directly to one of the windmills never gets old. Great place Jacob has, wonderful breakfast he provides as well. We rented a car and there is free parking in the street (limited) and a free public parking lot less than one block away from the house. Beds were great. There is a small ferry to go to the windmills, so you don't have to pay for the museum parking. Overall one of our best airbnb experiences. Jacob is a great host, highly recommend.

This is like a dream! The most wonderful of dreams! The windmills working right in front of you, the chocolate barge going up and down the river, the pub across the street, the bike rentals, the bakery, it's everything you could hope for and more. The best part, Jacob of course, such a wonderful host!! Spend at least two nights, so you have at least one full day in the village!! This is a must see!!
