The Simmons Leadership Center for Social Justice Studies was conceived of as a space where people could share the space as family, a large family whose work and passion is inspired by each other. It has been a place where good people network, brainstorm, share, care, find understanding and solutions!
This space has "soft doors" meaning while private, it has no lockable doors. It is spacious, has bay windows and is one of the largest spaces on the property and on the first floor.
Work and eating space. A full kitchen, Bathroom and a toilet in the basement for the hardy.

Guest will have access to TruDSoul B &B where breakfast is served, daily. The Museum is free of charge, but a donation is welcom. All out door seating areas, including the garden and back yard of the B &B and the Museum.

Guests will have the opportunity to attend all workshops at 1/2 price. Healing The Soul Workshops: Community- Global Grass Roots based workshops facilitated by Local-National and International teachers, leaders, healers (such as, Dr. Charles and Mama Sandra Simmons, past presenters and participants include: Mama Grace Lee Boggs, Cindy Sheehan, Lama Lhanang Rinpoche; Danny Glover, San Francisco 8-Black Panthers, Yusef Shakur, Dr. Gloria House, Dr. Charles Simmons and Rev. Mama Sandra Simmons).
As many communities in our country, and globally, our neighborhood is undergoing massive gentrification a transition that we have had the
opportunity to share through ethnography, in writing and in documentaries. We are open to share this history of challenge and change through ongoing opportunities for urban planners and activist of many fields from the US and abroad to consider, discuss and share their thoughts and practices that will help working class and hardly working class to survive such massive disruptions to community life.
We also know how to have fun! *Yoga, Poetry, Music and Dancing are all important features of living healthy and supports the practices of living a life of Compassion and Joy! Residents are also welcome to work and feast from our gardens, in season; we love to cook outside! We are always working on public art displays of inspiration and welcome you to join with us, but there is never any pressure to do anything, but rather to enjoy the peaceful vibes of the space and enjoy the D!

Guests are welcome to breakfast at TruDSoul across the street, free of charge! We also invite you to browse our gift shop, chocked with locally made gifts. Proceeds help fund our Local/National ad International programs that serve Women and Children education and entprenure
No smoking, no burning anything: incense, candles, etc. No loud music and be courteous of the bathroom use! Leave it clean! While we can have 14 plus residents we seldom book that many, no more than 10 unless a group requests to stay together. IMPORTANT: Please consider that children must be strictly supervised and attended by an adult at all times. At no time may a child be left alone in bed rooms or any space on the premises. We claim no responsibility for personal items; keep important documents and such with you. Rooms are secure, and safe but guests must use discretion concerning valuables.
Make sure you lock the doors if you leave, including leaving the porch to go elsewhere!
Be curteous and keep noise down, especially after 10pm, unless you have and understanding with houe maes.
Clean up the bathroom after you shower: please use the sponge/cleaning cloth below the sink in the bathroom.
Clean up the kitchen after Every use; this includes sweeing and mopping the floors.
