We enjoy having campers and had folks camp in their vehicles, have space for campers, open our home for use of shower and WiFi in common areas and have had those who opt to camp stay on our couch in in climate weather! It is not fancy or super clean sometimes with all the animals we have outdoors but it is home and we do love it!

The space

We have two rooms we offer to other guests that share a common bathroom in the main house. I have a long-term house mate as well and they get first dibs on the bathroom and shower. I may ask for a donation for shower privileges if we have multiple campers needing facilities, First time to offer camping so it is new to us!

Guest access

Have access to house and kitchen if needed and of course the bathroom which they need to work out shower and bathroom schedules with other guests to have things run smoothly

Interaction with guests

Right now, I am working a lot out of the area and have my brother here helping with the ranch and we do offer tips about where to eat, where to check out must sees and right now we have a full time housemate

Other things to note

We. Will be adding pett deposit for rooms in the house due to some accidents on area rugs

House Rules

No smoking indoors, No cigarette butts on the ground, Pets allowed but remember we have chickens and horses and occasional bunnies. Just leave the area as clean as you found it! Horse rides are available for a sliding scale fee $30-$60, all other trail rides in the area start at $60/hr. (Dependent on weather and Kat's availability).

Favourite Air bnb! So good! Not difficult to find we thought, just pop Laurel Lane in sat nav and follow the road till the end. Lovely family, highly recommended!

We only stayed at Kat's Ranch for a night but wish we could have stayed for more. She was very welcoming and we had a great evening talking around the campfire with her and other guests. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. If we are on the west coast again we are definitely staying here.

This is a good option for campers if you are unable to reserve or camp at any of the local state campgrounds. Kat was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The roosters got pretty loud after 4am, but it might be quieter if you camp in the front yard instead of in the back.

My fiancé Nd I really enjoyed our stay at the ranch. We were greeted by Kat’s brother, Phillip, who was very friendly and accommodating. There are also a bunch of really friendly animals on the property!

Kat’s Ranch was an awesome find in redwood country and a great camping stopover. Everyone was so friendly and open to conversation. There are chickens, roosters, bunnies, horses, cats, dogs, ducks, all super cute and well behaved. I loved it. They also offered us coffee and freshly laid eggs in the morning. I’ve never personally been able to thank the chicken that provided my breakfast before. It was pretty amazing.

My stay was amazing and the individuals who live at the ranch are great people. Loved everything about them and made use feel like family. This won't be the last time we visit their home. Thank you for sharing your home with us :).

Kay's place was exactly as described. Her critters were friendly and made us feel right at home :) her boyfriend Michael set up a tent for me and my friend, and Kay's brother Philip made us coffee in the morning before an exceptionally early departure time (we had to get on the road). Overall everyone was friendly and accommodating -- I'll definitely pass through again! And hopefully spend a little more time next time.
