Exceptional check-in experience

Recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
This modern nautical themed ground floor apartment (accessed up 6 steps front and rear) is a short stroll to the beach, pubs and bustling town centre but ideally situated on the West Cliff to enjoy the quieter part of town. Spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with sofa-bed and fabulous views of the Abbey, one separate double bedroom and large separate walk-in shower room. Parking space onsite or car park 1 minute away. Shared use of the front patio to enjoy the views. Well behaved dogs welcome.

The space
Beautiful newly converted ground floor apartment to match the established and popular Hazel's Hideaway on the floor above and Rene's Hideaway 2 bedroom basement flat below. The flat is accessed via 6 steps to front and rear of building.

Guest access
Guests have the self-contained apartment to themselves within a large Victorian terraced house. The front patio area is for the shared use of guests of Hazel's and Max's Hideaway flats only. The house is a mix of holiday and residential apartments.

Other things to note
I have three flats in the house sharing two onsite parking spaces in the rear yard. If these have already been reserved when you book you can have use of my pass for the West Cliff car park at the top of the street with over 400 spaces (saving £9 a day parking fees)!
Complimentary parking scratch cards enabling you to park on the nearby streets are another option.

My family run the Whitby Pitch and Putt and Footgolf Course just around the corner from the flat so enjoy a free game during your stay (subject to the golf being open in the season).

Neighbourhood highlights

Whitby is a beautiful and popular seaside town steeped in history and folklore ready for you to explore. The basement apartment is only a two minute stroll from Whitby's famous 'Whale Bones' on the quieter West Cliff area of town. Within 5 minutes, you will find yourself among the hustle and bustle of the busy harbour, restaurants, shops or strolling along the miles of golden beach.

The hidden gem that is Skinner Street is just around the corner where you can buy fresh 'Whitby Lemon Buns' from Bothams the bakers, enjoy a coffee in the quirky cafes or a beer in a micro-brewery, buy some Dracula wine from the off-licence or treat yourself to some Whitby Jet at Young's jewellers as mementoes of your super seaside holiday.

Two minutes away is the Spa Pavilion which houses a cinema and hosts numerous events throughout the year from 60's music weekends to the ever increasingly popular Goth and Steampunk weekends twice a year.

Further afield you may want to take the North Yorkshire Moors steam train inland to discover Goathland or Aidensfield as it is known from the popular TV series 'Heartbeat'.

For those with more energy, there are stunning coastal walks to nearby Robin Hood's Bay or The Cinder Track (the old railway line) that carries further on to Ravenscar and Scarborough. Going further North from Whitby you will discover Runswick Bay and Staithes with stories of Captain Cook and smuggling from days gone by.
