We stayed at Bunjil Farm for the Queen's birthday long weekend and it turned out to be one of the nicest weekend breaks; the farm as advertised is only an hour out of Melbourne and easy to find being just outside of Kyneton. We had the use of two guest rooms, a sitting room, shared bathroom and a rustic kitchenette with a wonderfully warm wood fire heater. All the rooms were beautifully fitted with period interiors and furnishings, it was incredibly charming and intimate. Lyn our host ensured the kitchenette was stocked with a simple yet delicious locally sourced breakfast. We loved the bread loaf so much we bought a few on our way home! (Country Cobb Bakery in Kyneton). We were a family of four, my husband, his parents and I. Lyn was the perfect host, bubbly and enthusiastic, she took us around the farm and introduced us to the alpacas, horses, sheep and chooks with Eddie the cutest little Kelpie following us around. This is definitely a great place for couples and families to visit for a quiet little getaway but with enough to keep you busy. Apart from walking around the farm and feeding the animals, we made little day trips to the neighbouring towns of Woodend, Trentham, Hepburn Springs and Daylesford and were back in time for dinner in Kyneton. In short we had the perfect weekend break. Thanks Lyn for sharing your lovely home with us.

Response from Lyn:
Roshni, her husband and her husband's parents were an absolute pleasure to welcome into my home. It's lovely to be able to share my beautiful surroundings and be a base for discovering the hidden secrets that Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges have to offer. Thank you, Roshni, for such a wonderful review!

We own and operate a small farm in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges. Our philosophy is to care for our Earth and not to take more from it than what we give. No herbicides or pesticides are used on our property. We enjoy the fresh air and open space of the countryside. Our current project is overhauling the vegetable garden. Our B&B is newly established and we look forward to welcoming you.
