Beautiful Cottage located in Rural Suffolk, a short stroll down a bridle path to Yoxford Village. The house, located near Snape & Saxmundham, and a short drive from the beaches of Dunwich, Southwold and Aldeburgh, it is a fully modernized cottage.

Yoxford is a wonderful village, the cottage is surrounded by Bridle Paths, a short walk to the village will take you to Maines (open evenings & Sat mornings serving fresh bread and pastries), there are two pubs and a couple of antique stores.

The space

This Delightful two bedroom cottage, mid terrace in Victorian row is very stylishly and well designed with a selection of comfortable seating and dining areas. The space is beautifully furnished with a selection of British and swedish fabric, and cosy seating areas by the fire and in the Kitchen.

The openness of the cottage is its beauty, elevated on a hill and flooded with light in the mornings and the sun rises over the garden, which is always breathtaking with incredible Suffolk skies, In the evening, you can sit at the front of the cottage and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine.

Open fields to front and rear on cottage, and a short 10 minute walk to the village of Yoxford.

Inside the cottage Upstairs there is 1 bathroom, two double bedrooms (1 kingsize, 1 Queen). Down stairs the main living space combines kitchen, dining (seats 6/8 people) and relaxing seating area by the folding doors so you will spend a lot of time here. To the from is the cosy living room with a wood burner (Logs are provided for your stay).

The cottage is a restful, peaceful place and the neighbours are all artists and writers, so take your pens or sketchbook and enjoy the atmosphere.

Guest access

Pretty position, the cottage is elevated on a hill. As noted the ground floor living room with log fire, open plan kitchen with dining table for 6, relaxing area with sofa and rocking chair and double glass doors leading to the patio and garden.

We had a wonderful stay at Brendan's cottage, location was perfect, accommodation was beautifully presented, lounge was cosy, kitchen/diner light and airy, beds really comfy and the outlook onto the garden and fields was truly lovely. The house manual has some great local recommendations such as the bread and brunch at Mains restaurant in Yoxford.

Ideal quiet, idyllic, secluded spot. Away from the hustle and bustle. We loved our time in the cottage which is very comfortable and well presented. Would definitely stay again.

Brendan's place is quite stunning as is its location, off the beaten track yet within striking distance of the main places to visit. The house is beautiful-sympathetically restored and decorated and filled by someone with culture and taste. The bed was huge and most relaxing. Kitchen/diner was extremely comfortable with a wide view and double doors to a lovely manicured and well adorned garden ending with a stunning view across wheat fields, where you could sit on a bench and take in the rural atmosphere. A memorable family wedding and emotional trip to Southwold Lighthouse (10miles) where my dad was briefly stationed in WW2 to prevent an invasion(!). Brendan's house made it even more memorable. Many thanks!

This cottage is a delight. It was a lovely place to spend time in and relax - it was very cosy with charming prints and textiles, a gorgeous kitchen cum eating area with glass doors looking out onto a garden that made me very jealous. The location is also very special, within easy access of the village but surrounded by fields and just 3 more cottages - very peaceful. It was easy to get to the many sights of Suffolk (Southwold, Wablerswick, Dunwich Beach, Aldeburgh, Minsmere, Sutton Hoo....) Brendan was very helpful and his recommendations for pubs, places to eat etc spot on. Highly recommended - we will be back!

This is a lovely cottage beautifully decorated and furnished. There is a secure garden and good local walks for dogs. There are good local shop which have everything you need. The owner offers excellent information about local amenities. We planned to travel around but spent our time either swimming at Dunwich, walking the dog or lounging under the oak tree. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
