Cosy and compact in a wonderful location by the banks of the Monnow. We would recommend the walk across the fields to the Bridge Inn and Michaelchurch, but would suggest a map to keep you on the path. Autumn evenings with the log-burner were perfect for us. I would imagine summer evenings eating outside on the river banks could be even better. We would come again.

Perfect quiet weekend away! Myself and three friends stayed with Linda for 2 nights last weekend. The cottage is perfect: amazing value, really well stocked, cosy fire place and living room and the stream outside is gorgeous. We had two great nights at the local pub and the locals are lovely. I'd recommend a walk on black hill. 10/10- would recommend to anyone

Immaculately presented cottage in a very secluded location. There are walks right out of the door and the outside area is great for a BBQ/morning coffee. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay if you're travelling nearby. The cottage is very clean, cute and comfy. We were also welcomed to some very tasty cookies. Linda was on holiday when we arrived and we were greeted by her father who we found was very lovely, kind and helpful. We did have slight issues with wifi but that wasn't a major problem. It allowed us to appreciate the cottage and the outdoors more without being antisocial. I'd definitely reccomend this cottage to anyone.

Beautiful spotless cottage, welcomed with flowers and cake. Enjoyed a great meal at the Bridge Inn a couple of miles away. Ideal area to 'chill out'

The cottage was really comfy and cozy. We loved the wood burner and even got the BBQ going in late March. It is very well situated if you want to go into the Black Mountains (we'd recommend the cat's back, the descent through the valley was stunning). Everything we needed was there and Linda was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A great secluded get away with plenty of birds on the garden feeder- caught site of a great spotted woodpecker feeding briefly- and beautiful scenery around the area.

A lovely cottage in an idyllic location, the sound of water running at the end of the garden & waking up to birdsong a delightful!
