THE AREA

BRICK LANE A microcosm of London's shifting ethnic patterns, the area around Brick Lane in East London was once associated with poor slums and the scene of the crime for the Jack the Ripper murders. Whilst the notorious pub Ten Bells still stands, the area itself is now extremely popular with London’s edgy and artistic crowd, featuring galleries, restaurants, markets and festivals throughout the year.
The Old Truman Brewery at 91 Brick Lane houses a vibrant market where up-and-coming designers set up shop every Sunday selling a unique variety of clothes, handbags and jewellery. There are also vintage clothing stores and chic boutiques dotted around the area.
Brick Lane has always been famed for its many authentic curry restaurants. It now also has a reputation for its warehouse art exhibitions and trendy clubs and bars. So, before your East London experience is complete, be sure to head to the Vibe Bars beer garden or 93 Feet East (150 Brick Lane) which has become an East End institution well known for its eclectic mix of live music and intimate atmosphere.

COLUMBIA STREET FLOWER MARKET
For an authentic East London experience, nothing comes close to Columbia Road market on a Sunday morning. Jam packed with the best blooms in the capital, it’s a lively and pretty noisy affair (and not for those who prefer peace and quiet on a Sunday), with salt-of-the-earth Eastender types, shouting at the top of their lungs and all trying to outdo one another's patter. During the rest of the week you can dine and shop at the rest of the quaint little restaurants and boutiques.

VICTORIA PARK Victoria Park is one of London’s most important historic parks and its oldest public park. It has been used by millions of Londoners for nearly 170 years as a place of healthy recreation, sports, play and relaxation. Victoria Park has beaten off stiff competition to be crowned the nation’s favourite park in this year’s prestigious People’s Choice Award.

A really vibrant area with so much to do when you are not busy out there shopping.

Good and central place to stay. Metro, bus and treinstation are on walking distance. Recommendable for a city visit.

The area is cool. Pretty far away (walking) from all tourist attractions or museums etc, so bear that in mind. The room is nice and warm but communication is practically nil at check in

Location is Nice, the central is not so fare. The appartment was Nice, big enough, clean, but it was problém to find the mastersafe lock, and also it was cold in the room.

Read all the rules and conditions before you book a room/appartment and if you will have any problems don't expect that she will give you compassion or a real answer..

Aneela's apartment is in the central London and very easy to get to most of the main tourist spots. I didn't get to meet Aneela but we did communicate quite well. The only problem is the basin in the bathroom. It isn't in a good shape. Hope Aneela can fix it soon. Anyway it's quite a nice stay.
