My husband and I and our 4 children enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay in Silvia's beautiful apartment which the photos on the website do not do justice to. Silvia thoughtfully had a loaf of bread in the fridge, plus a few other essentials in the cupboard such as olive oil, sugar, salt and pasta. There were plenty of spare blankets and the beds were very comfortable, and with two toilets no-one ever had to wait very long! The kids loved the TV channels that showed re-runs of "Happy Days" and "Texas Ranger" and we enjoyed reminiscing over them.
A short 3-5 minute walk down the street is a delicious pizzeria, a gelateria and a fresh pasta shop, plus a variety of restaurants open a little later in the evening.Nearby in the other direction is a MacDonalds restaurant although we never went hunting for it.
The only drawback for us was that the apartment was a bit of a distance from central Rome and the main tourist sites, which we didn't consider when booking. Also, we found navigating the buses quite difficult to begin with so many frustrating and stressful hours were spent travelling with 4 kids in wrong directions. We recommend that you research very thoroughly how to get to the apartment when you first arrive as a mix up on our part led to us missing check in with Silvia and caused inconvenience and worry to both parties.
However, it was wonderful after battling with buses all day to come back to a beautiful, comfortable apartment and get refreshed for another day. We highly recommend Silvia's apartment for a pleasant stay.
