Small charming loft with River Views and Central Location! Inspired by Grandmother` style has its own identity... This typical Family House has 2 rooms (one very small) and a little balcony. It`s located on a 3rd- floor old building, in Alfama` s medieval street. Close to most famous attractions, the city center and typical neighborhoods. Only 5 minutes walking from Santa Apolónia Station (train/subway/bus/taxi). Portela Airport is 6 km away. Local shops, laundry and a little playground nearby.
THE SPACE: Amazing views over "Tejo" River, vintage family heirlooms and natural light lend charm to this small loft in Alfama. The FAMILY HOUSE is decorated with Grandmother`s handmade cushions and personal objects.
The typical Family House has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (1.40x200) and a 2nd one with a little single bed (1.55 long). The living room has a sofá bed for one guest. The house provides a cot for baby upon request and no extra charge (children until 2 years old).
In the apartament we provide Wi-fi, cable tv, fully equipped Kitchen, hair dryer, bed linen, towels and also basic products (salt, olive, tea, coffe, champoo and bath/hands gel). The bathroom includes a bathtub with an attached shower. The house has fans/heating devices for hot/cold weather.
The Family House is located on a 3rd-floor old building (top floor), in Alfama` s medieval street. PLEASE NOTE:
Like most typical houses in Alfama doesnt have elevator and has narrow and steep stairs (children and elderly people may have difficulty to acess).
The 2nd room has a little bed and the acommodation of 3 adult guests is done using the Sofá bed in the living room. Ceilings and frame doors may be low for taller people. The street is only acess by walk.
Guests have access to all the apartment.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: “ALFAMA" is filled with flowers, colorful clothes drying in the windows, little and winding streets. Plenty of cafes, local markets, bars and restaurants can be found in the surrounding area.
June is the main month of the traditional festivities with music, dance and roasted sardines on the streets, but they also extended through the Summer with "Fado", Jazz and other musical events.
A few minutes walking distance we can reach many cultural and historic attractions: Fado Museum, Panteão Nacional, Sé Lisbon Cathedral and Santa Lúzia viewpoint. You can also walk to São Jorge Castle, to the Flea Market and visit other famous old neighborhoods such as "Graça" and "Mouraria.
The Traditiona Family House is 5-minute walk from the Metro/Train "Santa Apolónia Station"; the Taxi Station; the Yellow Bus and Tram 28.
We can reach "Praça do Comércio" (downtown) in 20 minutes walking and "Rossio" and "Cais do Sodré" in 30 minutes. In "Cais Sodré" we find the Ferryboat to visit the other side of the river and the Train Station to go to "Belém"and to our sunny beaches such as "Oeiras", "Cascais" and Estoril". In “Rossio” the Train Station to go and visit the famous " Sintra" Village -Unesco World Heritage.
We also advise guests to take the boat or the bus and visit our favourite beaches, located on the other side of "Tejo" River ("Costa da Caparica", "Sesimbra" and “Setúbal”). The City of "Setúbal" has long blue beaches just close to the green "Arrábida Natural Park".
We only ask you to treat our house as your house and the neighbors as your family. Smoking is not allowed (only in the balcony) and please trie to leave the space as you found. Thank you very much!
