The neighbourhood

Apart from the many historic sites on the villa's doorstep, there are excellent watersports available such as water skiing, para gliding and beautiful snorkelling opportunities. Also very close to carhire, mountain bike hire and an amazing activity specialist who can take you touring in the Akamas, kayaking or rock climbing.

Getting around

The beauty of this villa is that a car is only necessary if you wish to explore beyond Paphos as it is situated right on the bus routes either north to the main beach resort of Coral Bay or south to the tourist zone and harbour.

Other things to note

The villa's location is superb, being directly opposite the Tomb of the Kings ancient site and numerous beaches. And walking distance to the main strip of restaurants and nightlife of Paphos. It is also 2 minutes walk from a large Lidl and mini supermarkets. Also easy to bus to Harbour, Market or Coral Bay and the large Water Park.

Lovely house, comfortable, good space, good location. Small maintenance issues are there to be done, and seems Fiona- the owner was not aware. Cleaning, Bed clothes and towels were also not ok, so we contacted Fiona and were told the person who administrate the house would contact us, which never happened, contacted Fiona again and she managed, nothing serious of a short stay of ours - 4 nights. Fiona was kind and understandable and offered to refund partially of the booking and told us she would take care of the issues pointed. No internet available at the house, so we bought wireless from the hotel, which has weak signal and chopping all the time, it's cheap though so worth the trial. Overall we enjoyed the house and location

Good accommodation and location. We were initially worried about the proximity of the pool from a previous review, but it is a small walk away at most, maybe 50m. In a good location for what we wanted and the apartment was spacious, clean and close to local bars and restaurants. the apartment pool was a shared pool but we barely saw anyone around it. If you wanted a livelier atmosphere, the hotel pool had music and a bar at no extra cost. We also rented a car and the apartment is close to plenty of main roads that lead you all over the island. Only drawback is the lack of wifi, though this is not a dig at the property owner- its not advertised that it comes with wifi. You can walk 20 metres down the road and log into the wifi at the local bars should you wish. Overall an enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend the property.

The description of the advertisement did not exactly describe the property as the picture of the swimming pool gives you the impression that it is a private pool. It is not. It is located just a bit too far away from the house. Fortunately the use of the facilities of the Avlida Hotel made up for that.

We had a lovely holiday in Fiona's villa. The house was very clean and spacious and had a nice homely feel. We loved the pictures that were hung around the house and wondered if there was an artist in the family. The house is very conveniently located for shops, restaurants and the Tombs of the Kings UNESCO site, it is also very easy to take the very efficient and regular local bus service into Pathos port. The buses run late, so you can easily eat dinner at the port and catch the bus home. The Avlida Hotel is just around the corner, so on a few occasions we popped in for drinks and so our 4 year old daughter could enjoy the mini-disco. There are no sandy beaches within walking distance, however this wasn't a problem as the villa is in a pleasant complex with a good sized communal pool. There was also a baby pool which our 6 month old twins loved, and which was well shaded by trees and shrubs in the afternoons. The neighbours we met were very friendly and invited us to join them for a poolside barbecue one afternoon, which was great fun. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay, many thanks Fiona.

Lovely villa very close to the sea, and walkable to everywhere we wanted to be. Fiona's villa was perfect for what we needed - we were on a family trip to Paphos for a wedding! Fiona was really helpful with any questions we had & we had a fantastic time!

I have lived in Edinburgh all my life and share this house with my South African husband called Johan and teenage daughter Kirsty and small mongrel dog called Scruffy. I import Native American jewellery and visit States once a year and Johan runs the most delicious pie shop in Edinburgh called Piemaker. We both love meeting new people and can't wait to welcome you to our home.
