We had a wonderful 2 night stay with Phil and Linda - their warm hospitality and facilities were amazing and one of the best venues we have stayed at. We had a very comfortable room. The daily breakfast was super and Phil's help with restaurant reservations, information on places of interest etc wonderful. Highly recommend (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Guest House.

Phil and his wife are excellent hosts. Thry go out of their way to make sure guests feel welcome, and make great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. They are also great conversation companions due to their travels around the world. The breakfast is worth mentioning as it features a lot of locally produced items (bread, cheese, jams) and the made to order hot plates are delicious. Highly recommended!

A very comfortable one night stay with Phil and Linda as we drove along Route 62. Immaculately clean room with every facility provided to a standard more associated with an hotel e.g. Toiletries, great shower, bathrobe, swimming pool ( would have loved to take a dip had it not been for unseasonable cool temperatures), sewing kit, reading stuff, mini bar. As well as Bar in main building. Good suggestions for restaurants, Linda made reservation for us. Lovely outlook from balcony looking over the river bank and the suspension bridge. We were fascinated by the bird life, particularly the weaver birds the Red Bishop was our favourite. Breakfast choice cooked to suit us. Interesting insights given by Linda and Phil, into this amazing country which were much appreciated.

Phil and Linda were gracious hosts. They clearly like their work and made one feel welcome straight away. They provided advice on where to eat nearby and made bookings too. The Guest House is conveniently located near the centre of town yet has a good view of the nearby hills and the setting sun. The rooms are well appointed, the cosy pub a great attraction for pre-dinner drinks and a good chat, and the breakfast a good kick start to the day. It wasn't my first visit and it won't be my last either.

My wife, Linda and I, have lived in Oudtshoorn since early 2011. Running a guest house was a total lifestyle change for us both after decades in the IT industry. We have both lived all over the world, having met in Hong Kong and spent time together in Singapore, Seattle and Munich before settling in Oudtshoorn. Having grown up in Cape Town, this was a return to South Africa for me after 25 years of globe trotting. We enjoy interacting with our guests and helping them maximize their travel experience in South Africa.
