We spent a great month at this spacious apartment, enjoying being able to connect daily both with the neighborhoods north of the yarkon river, where my son went to summer camp, and to the city center. I used city bikes or on one of the many buses. (Be advised against trying to park a car in this neighborhood, especially in the evening...). I really enjoyed the neighborhood, very well connected, it's not a quiet street corner but for me that was fine, I like hearing activity around the house in all hours, makes me feel safe. And indeed I felt I could walk there on my own in all hours of day and night. There are a couple of grocery stores right under the house, and for fresher ingredients the namal farmer's market is a 10 minutes walk away. Amir and Jeremiah are great hosts, they gave me a little tour of the vegetable garden they manage to maintain under the building. They kept in touch from their own holiday and where helpful and sweet. (I really enjoyed harvesting a choloraby for my salad, but with all the many many dining opportunities in the area, I didn't eat in all that much.) The living room allowed me to have guests over for dinner though, which is nice. Also essential for me were the operational AC in each rooms (critical in the summer), and the washing machine. I didn't really use the drier, because in this weather cloth line is more than enough. But in the winter it's probably nice to have the option.
