Description

The space

The entire top floor of this charming modern house on the periphery of the city is available for your stay. There is a comfortable double bedroom and private bathroom just for guests. You are also welcome to use the kitchen and dining area, and make the most of the beautiful sunny garden. There is free WiFi and tea & coffee making facilities. Alfie, our very friendly dog, also lives here with 2 cats.

Interaction with guests

I'll be here to welcome you with a cup of tea (or glass of wine depending on the time of day), and am very happy to help you plan your stay. I have lived in Cardiff for many years and so I can suggest some great local hotspots within the city and further afield.

The neighbourhood

Our house is in a quiet neighbourhood within easy reach of the city centre and the M4. There are local grocery shops and pubs, as well as many fields, parks and reservoirs for you to explore.

Getting around

A couple of minutes walk to the bus stop with regular buses that take you to the city centre within 25 minutes. Alternatively a 20 minute walk to the train station where you can get a train that will get you in to Cardiff Central Station in 5 minutes.

We are just 5 minutes drive from the M4 and have plenty of free parking which makes us ideally placed for accessing both the centre of Cardiff and the rest of South Wales should you want to explore the glorious Welsh Coastline or the Brecon Beacons.

Other things to note

I am happy to welcome guests for anything from a one night city break to a couple of months stay in the capital.

Jo provides great comfort as she can in my one week stay. The loft flat is quiet new and clean. The kitchen is friendly in use. Jo's dog is very quiet.

Super cute and cozy room. Jo was really sweet and accommodating. You can get around on the buses, but they aren't that often. But that is literally the only drawback. Very comfortable.

Jocelyn was friendly and welcoming. I had a very comfortable stay, at a very reasonable price. Cat and Dog are a cute pair too! Would definitely recommend. Thank you :)

Jocelyn is a considerate hostess who made me feel at home during the 3 days I spent on the top floor of her cosy small house. I appreciated her hospitality. The room and private shower room are immaculate and tranquil. The location was perfect for me as my friends live down the roundabout. The city centre is 30 min. by bus and Cardiff is not only a nice city but also a good shopping place.

We stayed overnight with Jo because we were going to a party at the nearby golf club. It worked very well and Jo kindly gave us a lift back to our car in the morning as the golf club was close enough for us to walk back from. It was ideal.

Jo is a lovely lady very easy to chat too and the house is as described. The room in particular is very light and airy and very peaceful. The added bonus of separate ensuite to yourself is great. Tea and coffee are available in the room along with biscuits. The WiFi is good too. Will definitely be staying again soon.
