I am happy to offer an advice or assistance to my guests before or during their stay wherever I am able to.

The neighbourhood

Stoke Newington is a fantastic part of the ever changing borough of Hackney. It has a village type feel for a convenient and central part of London and boasts fabulous parks, Clissold Park and Springfield Park and the River Lea. Church Street is the main area for excellent coffee, brunch and dinner and is full of interesting shops & places to eat & drink. Stoke Newington is also a diverse community that offers lots of independent businesses, so there is a whole range of things on offer. It is also excellent locally for organic produce with an independent organic store round the corner, a local farmers market on Saturday and Whole Foods on Church Street. Five minutes walk from my flat is the local leisure centre with Gym, Squash Courts and 2 swimming pools. A bit further past this and through Clissold Park, is the Climbing Centre and the West Reservoir Centre where you can enjoy sailing and open water swimming. The canal which runs East to Hackney Wick and West to Islington and Camden is about a 15 minute bike ride or 10 minute bus ride. London Fields Lido is about a 12 minute bike ride away and Broadway Market is 15 minutes by bike and there is a local business that hires bikes by the day just around the corner. There are several excellent pubs for drinks and good food in the neighbourhood and many late night bars. Dalston is just a 5 minute walk, which is full of Cafés, Restaurants & late night bars and clubs, plus an excellent independent cinema and theatre & world renowned Jazz venue and excellent transport links to South London and East (the Olympic Village) and West London. It's a 20 minute bike ride to the city, the rest of Hackney and the Olympic Park, or a quick bus or train ride. Many major bus routes also serve the West End, Southbank and the city / St Paul's The local Stoke Newington community is very friendly, and there are excellent amenities within walking distance, including local shops, pubs, supermarkets, green spaces and transport links.

Getting around

All major bus routes are accessible to take you to the West End, City, Southbank, Waterloo, Soho and the city, plus a 10 minute train ride to the city. House Rules

The flat is kept to a very high standard of cleanliness and tidiness and I expect guests to respect this, and treat the property like their own home, and therefore take care of it. Smoking is not permitted in the property, but there is a private garden in the back that people can smoke in.
