Hello am Rafael, my house has a very positive energy, as you enter the farm, you feel at peace and relaxed, I hope you love it as much as I do.

The space

Nestled just behind the Coyotepe Mountain and Fort, This house sits on a hill has spectacular views of Volcan Masaya and the praire. You will enjoy magnificent sunsets every afternoon and then gaze at the stars and the moon with a glass of wine, with a constant fresh breeze. You will be awakened by the birds. The House is Powered by solar energy, a jacuzzi style pool sits 8,. Great for relaxing or hosting fabulous parties, Fully equipped kitchen, with small refrigerator and stove, dining room with a table for 8, plus a breakfast table for 4. A spacious three level terrace, perfect for afternoon drinks and to watch the amazing sunsets. Horse back riding available, fruit trees at your disposal. This is a very comfortable house, away from the noise and polution. Enjoy Nature at its best, in style and comfort.
If you want to explore the property, you are welcomed to. You can cut your own plantain, mangos, oranges, tangerines, limes, avocados, papayas, mamones, nancites, jocotes, figs, and all complementary on us. For horse back riding just ask our caretaker and he will be more than happy to help you. Ideally you should rent a car, But if you rather not, I will be more than happy to send a taxi to pick you up at the airport and bring you to the house for $30. Also car service is available for a small charge, tipical one way anywhere in Masaya is $4 - $5 Expect to pay $1 more late at night. In Masaya we have the best arts and crafts markets in Nicaragua, a beautiful lagoon called Laguna de Apoyo, Volcan Masaya is a few minutes away, Catarina Look out point is only a 15 minutes drive, Granada city is 15 minutes drive away. We have a fun night life and typical food options.
I am a great host and would love to share my house with you.

If you need space for more guests, the house next door can accomodate 2 more guests, see my other listing. You can ride the horses, get fruit when in season, enjoy the Jacuzzi.

The best thing about this location is that you are isolated in then country, but yet only 2 kms away from Masaya center, we have the Coyotepe mountain just behind us, which serves as a barrier between the city and the farm.

I recommend renting a car, but I can also recommend a reliable taxi driver, my friend, his name is Alex, He can do airport transfers for $30 and local day trips as well.

Guest access

If you need space for more guests, the house next door can accomodate 2 more guests, see my other listing. You can ride the horses, get fruit when in season, enjoy the Jacuzzi. Walk
Around the property and exercise or just do nothing!

Interaction with guests

Not at all you are totally independent.

Other things to note

Water in Masaya comes every other day but we have a huge reservoir tank so water is not a problem but don't waste it because if you finish the tank you would have no water. Electricity is limited as well because it is a solar panel only lasts for about 4 to 6 hours depending on your use. You Have a Small Refrigerator and can charge phones and a laptop.

The house is set on a beautiful farm a little outside of the town. Very pretty home. Everything would have been perfect but there was no power for the two days we were there. The caretaker was nice but couldn't help. We had to eat in the dark. My boyfriend and I made it work and enjoyed our time, but I wouldn't recommend having no power in an unknown place like this.

The experience was very good. This is a nice place in Masaya. It will give you peace and quiet with a good view of lightning and the red clouds over volcan masaya.

The host and ranch staff were kind and accommodating and the place was very peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed exploring the property a bit, seeing the animals and being somewhere a bit more rustic than a typical westerner is used to. Very charming house and property that was truly a unique experience. It was a little closer to the highway than I expected but far enough away that there wasn't too much noise from it. We booked and paid for the place for our last two nights but found out that there was no running water to operate the toilets or wash (because of the drought) and electricity would be limited during our stay, so be prepared that this might happen if you decide to stay here. We probably wouldn't have minded so much if it weren't our last two nights in Nicaragua. We didn't want to get on a plane so dirty and stinky, so we decided to just stay for one night and get accommodations with a shower for the second. All of the other places we stayed provided bottled water, but this place did not, so you should bring enough for your stay if you don't rent a car. We took advantage of the cab service Rafael recommended while we were there which worked out fine for us.

Yes I felt welcomed and the house was as described in a beautiful setting and well decorated with a collection of western and eastern art including a statue of Ganesh by the front door.

Volcan Masaya was so quite and beautifully remodeled and decorated. My daughter enjoyed meeting the girls that visited in the daytime, seeing the horses, sheep, and dogs and swimming in the small dunking pool. The kitchen is well set up but like other summer rentals you never really know what will be there when you arrive. There were spices but no other kitchen items such as dish soap, condiments, etc so come prepared. Also there is no refrigeration so be sure to bring ice for the cooler to keep food and drinks. I forgot to get some the 1 day I arrived but the wonderful caretaker on the property Juan Carlos biked to the store for ice for me. I had a head lamp for extra light at night that was very helpful. Also I highly recommend making sure the mosquito net is down and covers the bed entirely. I saw only one mosquito net which could get tricky to cover two beds if you are sleeping separately. I also think $30 taxi that was charged to drive the 20 minutes from Managua to the house was a rip off. The cost of the taxi should be no more than $20 USD apparently and I paid $9 for a taxi to Laguana de Apoyo and $2-3 to get into town

Great home base between the town of Masaya and the Volcano. Only complication was that even with printed (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps in hand, our taxi drivers had a really difficult time finding the property - particularly tricky when arriving after dark!

The house was just as it was described and pictured. Rafael was very communicative and made sure we had all of our questions answered before we came. I also left a sweater at the house and he promised to send it to me when he comes to the states - so nice! You definitely need to have a driver as the house isn't walkable to much but he set us up with taxi drivers (Alex & Danny) both were so sweet and punctual. Would stay here again! Thanks Rafael!
