Calm and convenient location

Guests say this area is peaceful and it’s easy to get around.
Set in the picturesque south end of the town known as The Lodberries, No 5 Kveldsro Gardens is a one-bedroom house with kitchen opening into living room.
The iconic Jimmy Perez house as seen in the TV series "Shetland" can be seen from the kitchen window.
The town centre is a few minutes' walk along the seafront.
You can relax in the patio garden after a busy day exploring your surroundings.

The space
No 5 is a one double bedroomed town house all newly decorated throughout.
USB charging port in bedroom.
Sitting/dining room which leads outside to a raised back patio garden which is totally private. You have the use of a rotary clothesline and foldable outside table and chairs so you can follow the sunshine.
Fully fitted kitchen looks out over the North harbour where you can see the ferries, cruise ships coming and going.
Shower room consists of a walk-in shower.
Also, Jimmy Perez's house sits nestled into the left of the kitchen view.
No 5 is situated close to town centre but set back up a secluded lane with trees.

Guest access
Check in time is 2pm

If you want early entry from the 7.30 ferry, I would ask you to book an extra night prior to your booking. This will be blocked off and will allow you to access No 5 straight off the ferry .

Please note , although there are no steps in the actual premises other than 4 up to the front door , there are a few steps either side of the lanes to access car parking.

Other things to note
Tea ,coffee and sugar is provided, plus a small welcome hamper of Shetland milk, bread and butter is waiting for you.

2 minutes walk from 5 Kveldsro Gardens is the area known as "The Lodberries" which translates to Houses and landing stages built out into the sea by Lerwick,s first merchants. One of the famous Lodberry is the fictional home of Jimmy Perez from the "Shetland" TV drama .

The small town of Lerwick dates from the 17th Century and is Shetlands capital.

If you are visiting in January when the famous Up Helly Aa Fire festival is held , no 5 is a short walk to where they commence the procession . This is an annual event which takes place the last Tuesday of January.
Take a wander along the waterfront and this will lead you to "The Knab", again a beautiful scenic walk with its stone wall encasing a practice golf course.
From here the views south from Breiwick Bay is stunning looking over the town and down to the south end of Shetland taking in the isle of Mousa.
You can follow the path around coming back into the busy little town centre to enjoy a coffee in the cafes Lerwick,s town centre has to offer.

Born and brought up in Shetland I have 4 grown up children and 6 grandchildren. Recently retired from my job as Team leader in a busy day surgery unit in the local hospital, I decided to try something completely different and host holiday accommodation. I love to meet people and am eager to share a bit of the culture Shetland has to offer . Shetland can have 4 different weather seasons in one day so be prepared and layer up . It's rugged shoreline gives the opportunity for great walks and spectacular scenery whatever the weather.
