Two giant walnut trees shelter you as you round the curving path to your door. Flowers, the gentle sound of a fountain, dappled sunlight and rolling green lawn and a campfire circle greet you. Level entry, free parking and just 5.1 miles to Airport!
Upon arrival you will find the door open for you and some ambient lighting on and the keys just on the entry shelf. Please call or text the day before to confirm arrival time (late flights nights arrival are okay with previous discussion).

The space
This is the peaceful one bedroom Cottage, with it's open and airy floor plan, on the garden level below Leafy Setting Charming Cottage, that you will find also on Airbnb.
The flooring is all tile, with area rugs for coziness. There is a dining table for 4 in the open kitchen. The entire apartment is completely private.
In the extra large bathroom there is a step in tiled shower with glass door (may be a bit short for an over 6 foot person). All towels, shampoo, soaps and hairdryer are here for you.
Although a small stack laundry is pictured, it has proven inadequate for long term stays. You will have access to a full size laundry about 100 feet from your front door.
Perfect for 2 adults in the pretty one bedroom (w private access to bath). In the open living area there is a charming twin size daybed with a tempurpedic mattress. Additional sleeping space on the comfy couch for one person. All bedding is provided for you: fresh fluffy pillows, duvet covers with comforter inside suited to the winter or summer season, fresh sheets and extra throws.
The Ikea kitchen is compact and so functional for those vacation style quick meals. Tall pantry cabinet and wide drawers and glass door upper cabinets.
Dishwasher free...double sink, fan above microwave and 20 inch 2 burner electric stove w oven.
Round glass table seats 4 and a butcher block island w 2 tall stools works well for food prep. All cookware, serve ware, utensils, etc are provided.
Parking space for one car is just outside the cottage. A lovely sitting area just outside your door under the walnut trees is yours to enjoy for morning coffee.

Guest access
The rolling grass, sunshine and trees and outdoor chairs are yours to enjoy. The campfire circle is a fun spot for ending a sightseeing day in the City. Kindling, firewood and matches included. You will share this outdoor space with the Upper Cottage guests. Children can run and play in this secure pretty area.

Other things to note
If both Leafy and Garden are available, the entire 2 spaces may be rented to have 2 couples or groups spread out! Spatial privacy and still togetherness!!

Burien is culturally and ethnically diverse with a strong sense of community with the Thursday Farmer's Market, B-Town Blog and seasonal street celebrations. The neighborhood is near to salt water Seahurst Park, the historic self contained little town of Burien, the Fauntleroy Ferry to Vashon Island and the Olympic Peninsula, and to Lincoln Park. With its along the water walk, run and bike way, shoreside salt water swimming pool (Memorial to Labor Days), and its lovely trails and picnic areas and ball fields amidst old growth cedars...Lincoln Park is a treasure.

After selling real estate in Seattle for 27 years I decided to accomplish the dream kitchen remodels on two properties I had purchased in the 90's. Of course, as is typical with remodeling, a bit more work was required as the projects became more ambitious! Being the general contractor/designer/go-fer with an amiable hardworking crew is my idea of big fun. I am inspired by all things "real estate" and that love motivates why I love traveling in France and Italy, seeing such charm everywhere. I am looking forward to more and more travel for myself. I have lived in urban Seattle for 30+ years. Curiosity and energy for new experiences describes my personality. I highly value working with and meeting new people, as an invaluable aspect to a happy life. A home is for rejuvenation and reflection, for calm and celebration. I will enjoy providing such a respite in your travels to Seattle, as well as direction for your enjoyment of food, sites, activities within the city and surrounding areas. For the past few summers I have enjoyed stand up paddle boarding several times each week,at Lake Union, in the middle of the city. Gardening and creating ambient home spaces are very fulfilling for me. I enjoy chatting with people of all ages and backgrounds and showing off my city. I look forward to meeting you and providing a happy cozy space for your relaxation and privacy while traveling in the Pacific Northwest. My life motto is Explore, Experience, Enjoy
