The two storey, three bedroom, fully self-contained, private Australian cottage was designed for families. Although each of our four cottages offers views toward Mt. Cooroora, the Australian cottage’s unique feature is every room has a direct view.
The modern, luxury, custom-built, architect-designed cottages (four total) are designed to be your home away from home. The lounge, stairway and upstairs hallway are carpeted, all other rooms tiled. Complete kitchens with private laundry, private patio and verandahs with gas barbecue, and both indoor and outdoor dining tables exceed the mere offerings of B&B or motel rooms, yet at comparably less cost.

As all three bedrooms and one bathroom are located on the second floor, it allows children to sleep while adults enjoy either an early morning or late night in the first floor lounge, kitchen, laundry, dining rooms, verandah or patio.
Each of the three bedrooms contains one queen bed, to which a single rollaway bed (if available) may be added to a bedroom, so the cottage can accommodate a maximum of seven guests. The bathroom has a shower\tub combination. The Australian cottage has balconies for each of its three bedrooms, in addition to the first floor’s surrounding verandah. Outdoor seating is also provided on the balconies and verandah.
The gated verandah not only serves to keep young children close and safe, but also can serve as a temporary kennel for accompanying pets while guests are away from the cottage.
The solar-heated guest swimming pool is situated near the managers residence. We request five minutes notice to remove the pool cover as we are on rainwater supply.
Extensive private gardens and open parkland areas for walks or play surround the Australian cottage and assure privacy in addition to each cottage being situated approximately 50 metres apart. The cottage’s private parking area includes a double carport.
The 97 acre secluded private estate in the Noosa hinterland offers a nearby extensive rock pond with waterfalls, boardwalk and gazebo, 4kms of bushtrails, over 8,000 planted tree arboretums, native forests and native birds and wildlife, and lower creeks to explore, with friendly Dexter cattle and ShetlandxWelsh horses to pet or feed.
With two close Cooroy exits from the main Bruce Highway, and serviced by Queensland rail and bus stops, Cooroy is ideally central to both Noosa and Sunshine Coast popular tourist locations. A 30 minute drive to either Noosa or Sunshine Coast urban and beach offerings, with only 1 1/2 hour drive to Brisbane international airport or city centre.
The cottage(s) have enjoyed numerous awards, notably Trip Advisors 2013, 2014 & 2015 Certificate of Excellence (top 10% globally) and its 2015 Greenleaders Silver award for eco-tourism.
The cottages are Noosa Council approved, licensed and insured, providing and assuring your comfort and a professional accommodation experience.
Guests have complete access to the 97 acre secluded property adding to the extreme space, privacy and tranquillity, which also increases the property safety for both children and pets.
Interaction with guests
24 hour availability as the owner\manager residence is also located on the 97 acre estate. A phone system allows calls either to the office or between the cottages if shared with friends or family or an events venue. Children are invited to feed provided carrots to the horses after their evening return to the home paddock.
The Australian cottage's distinctive feature is its extreme privacy, space, tranquillity and interaction with nature. Multiple information is provided in the cottage regarding local restaurants, places of interest, activities, area maps and travel brochures to complement your stay and area travel selections and experiences.
A car is essential given our purposed secluded location and benefits. However, two near Bruce Highway exits allow quick and easy access for travel in any direction with the Queensland Rail station in Cooroy. The Cooroy town centre is only 8 kms away and provides every need with the benefit of local lower costs than the congested tourist coastal areas.
Other things to note
All bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, tissue, soaps, are supplied, so guests are only reminded to provide their food (easily obtained in nearby Cooroy) or additional personal DVDs or music CDs. A driving map is attached to our formal booking confirmation email to avoid any issue with finding your cottage.
The cottages are supplied with a loaf of bread, litre of milk, cannisters containing instant coffee, tea and sugar, and various jams and butter servings, with laundry powder to assist your first night stay.
A baby cot (with flannel linens) and high chair are available upon request without additional cost.
Pets are welcome and allowed inside the cottage if that is a continuation of your home care practice. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture and must be confined to the walled rear courtyard when guests are away from the cottage.
A 1% credit card fee is charged if a credit card is used for payment.

The cottage interiors have a no smoking policy, with smoking permitted outdoors in the respective patio\verandah areas with an ashtray provided.
A "no shoes indoors" practice is appreciated, but not required.
Guests are implicitly responsible for reporting and reimbursing any damages caused by a mutually agreed settlement. Accidents do happen and we appreciate being promptly notified of spills as we have a carpet cleaner to readily prevent any staining damage at no additional charge.
