The cottage was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, very well-prepared and equipped and represented good value for money. The grounds and manor house were nothing short of stunning and it was a privilege to be able to wander the grounds at will.

This is an absolute gem of a place to stay. The Lodge is set in the most beautiful grounds which are lovely to walk around and take in the breathtaking views. The Lodge itself was spotlessly clean , very tastefully decorated and was well equipped with everything required for a great stay. The wood burning stove was fabulous and added to the quirkiness of the Lodge Ben was the perfect host and the owners of the estate where also very friendly. The bread, milk and biscuits on arrival where also a very thoughtful touch. You will not be disappointed if you book this little hidden treasure. We will definitely be back!

Couldnt have asked for anything to be better - we were in the door 5 minutes and the fire was lit, shower was perfect (and badly needed after a cold day out!) house was warm, homely and immaculately clean. Bed was very comfortable, there was even milk in the fridge for tea, not to mention the beautiful grounds and a walled garden!! Couldn't recommend the place anymore

We had a really enjoyable, relaxing short break at the Lodge. It was very clean, cosy and comfortable - loved the wood-burning stove in the slate fireplace and the sleigh beds. Attractive, modern bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. The beautiful grounds and walled garden of the estate are well maintained and a pleasure to walk around.

Laid back and easy going. I am an Englishman living in a very quiet part of Scotland now for work, so always looking to escape to a not so nearby city to get socialised again.

Photography graduate. I enjoy nights out, eating, running, and a colourful silk shirt.

I manage the beautiful Argrennan Manor House estate which sits within 48 acres of grounds. Set within the estate there are 2 self cater properties available for those wishing to discover this stunning part of Scotland, or even just a quick overnight stop on a long journey.

Alistair and Gail, the current custodians of Argrennan are very friendly and welcoming to all who come stay with us, and Mertin the miniature Jack Russell is always happy to have an extra pair of legs to take him for a walk down to the 2 acre walled garden or along the mile of tracks the encircle the estate.
