Beautiful, newly renovated semi-detached house on a quiet, one-way, tree-lined street. Sunny open-concept main floor with living, dining, and kitchen with modern appliances. Central air conditioning.
27 inch Imac computer on main floor can serve as your TV (as there is no actual TV in this house). Good sound system in dining room can connect to your smartphone or ipod.
On second floor, master bedroom has a queen size bed. Guest bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom is also on the second floor. (You could squeeze another person on the full size couch on main floor.)
Large, pleasant fully-fenced in backyard with flower and veggie gardens, 6-seater outdoor table, BBQ available to use.
Laundry facilities are available for you to use in the unfinished basement.
Guests will have access to the entire house and backyard, except for the home office, which will be locked due to sensitive work information.
Interaction with guests
Hosts will be available to answer questions over phone, texts, or emails during your stay. A detailed list of recommended activities, cafes, bars and restaurants will be left for you to consult.
A neighbourhood contact will also be available to answer questions or in case of emergencies. This same contact will be by to water the vegetable garden at a few predetermined times during your stay.
House is on a quiet, one-way residential street, one block north of a fantastic public park--Dovercourt Park (great for kids and dogs!). Walking distance to Bloor street (5-7 minute walk) with its many trendy bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping.
Come spend time in the best of what Toronto neighbourhoods have to offer. Bloorcourt / Dovercourt neighbourhood has emerged as one of the trendiest and safest sectors of the city. Great for young couples and families in their 30s and 40s.
10 minute walk to Dufferin Mall. 5 minute walk to Galleria mall (grocery store and liquor and beer store).
Convenient visitor on-street parking (right in front of house) is available at $20/week.
Ossington and Dufferin subway stations are a pleasant 7 minute walk away. The Dufferin and Dupont buses are within 2 minutes walking distance.
The neighbourhood is exceedingly walkable, friendly and safe. Truly the best of what Toronto has to offer.
Other things to note
House will be professionally cleaned before arrival and upon your departure. Simply leave home as you found it.
A single (well-behaved) dog or two, or a cat would be OK. Dovercourt Park, a block south of the house, is a fantastic unofficial dog park. However, please advise hosts ahead of time of any animals you'll be bringing with you.
Smoking inside the house is not permitted. Smoking outside is OK.
