About this listing
The house can be reached only on foot via a staircase in about 20 min from Campiglia, a small village accessible by car or bus. The house, built on two floors, has a terrace outside overlooking the seaside. The perfect place for those who are looking for nature, hiking and quiet.
The house, only accessible on foot via a path (a staircase), is located in Persico, one of the coasts between Riomaggiore and Portovenere, in the 5 Terre National Park. Through a path you can reach (about 30 minutes from the house) the wild pebble beach. The house consists of a living room with exposed beams, a large fireplace, a stove and a comfortable sofa bed, a kitchen with a marble sink and a bathroom. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, one with double bed and another one with two single beds (possibility of becoming double bed) with wooden floor and a cast iron stove. The cottage is furnished with antiques and hand-made furnitures by our father.
The house overlooks a terrace with seaside view, equipped with a large table where you can dine in the moonlight in the company of fireflies. Some beach chairs and a large sun umbrella are available to enjoy the shade during the afternoon naps.
Interaction with guests
We are willing to accompany you on foot from Campiglia to the house, show you the place giving some informations about it, explain you how the house systems work and briefly illustrate all the paths starting from the house.
Next to the house there's an independent studio flat where sometimes we stay.
The place is really unique and magic, out of the crowded 5 Terre, completely surrounded by the nature, you can get away from it all and find the inner peace!
The small village of Campiglia can be reached by bus (it starts from La Spezia Central Station, about 7 routes a day from Monday to Saturday and 2 routes on Sunday) or by car. You can park for free in Campiglia during your stay. In Campiglia you'll find a restaurant, a grocery store - bar that offers a pizza service in the charming sea-view terrace in the weekend and a rest area where you can taste local products, a quick lunch or a drink during the sunset.
From Campiglia you can walk through several paths towards Portovenere, 5 Terre and La Spezia.
Other things to note
starting from March 1st 2012 , the Municipality of La Spezia ordered the application of a local tax of € 1.50 per person per day (except for children under the age of 12 and residents in the municipality of La Spezia). The City Tax, as provided by the law, can be applied only for the first 5 nights and it will be collected at your arrival.
The cottage is equipped with solar panels for lighting and charging mobile phones or iPad (with car cables of 12 v or usb cables), a gas fridge and a stereo to enjoy the view with your favorite background music.
Possibility of making barbecue in the terrace.
We try to minimize light pollution, water waste and we use, as more as possible, biodegradable soaps to preserve the environment.
The phone coverage is only for TIM and 3. You will have a phone with TIM card: all the call traffic will be payed back to the hosts at the end of the stay.
Since the house is accessible only on foot we recommend to put your stuffs in backpacks or easily transportable bags and to wear comfortable shoes (sneakers or hiking, or sport sandals) .
