The Woodland Yurt is set in an idylic location, surrounded by nature and trees. You can expect to hear the owls hooting. The yurt is nestled by our Great Oak tree and there is a fire pit outside to enjoy a bonfire and wonder at the stars...

Had a fantastic time here. Great hideaway that our kids enjoyed thoroughly. Forest, campfire and a cosy yurt. Couldn't ask for more. Added bonus that our son made a new friend. Many thanks.

We spent a lovely night in the yurt in the woods. Belle and her family are just lovely and we enjoyed playing with Bella the cat too. The yurt is well situated in its own little clearing in the woods overlooking a field of horses. There is a tarpaulin over the yurt which makes it a little dark in there so I recommend taking plenty of tea lights and camping lights. The bed was really comfortable and having the option of camp beds as well as the futon was great. We hope to be back soon!

Stayed couple of nights here in August. The yurt is basic but lovely. Inside there's a double bed and a small sofa (think it was a bed too but had no cause to check this). There are a couple of side boards and children's table and chairs. One sideboard is home to a camp stove and plenty of brew making ingredients..but you need your own cups and milk. (Tea bags of many varieties and coffee are provided and there is access to a fridge in the stable block to store milk in.) There are lots of tea light holders for a gorgeous warm glow in the evenings, so take plenty with you. And a couple of good lanterns or torches as the yurt is very dark inside even during the day. There's a campfire/fire pit just outside the door which can be used like a BBQ. We ate out during our visit so can not comment on cooking arrangements more than that. The toilet is basic but there's a sink and hot water so that's a bonus for camping (but strangely the toilet room also seems to be a small kitchen for the stable hands.) The toilet itself is a few mins walk from the yurt which was a bit of a pain in the middle of the night..but the clear skies and view of the milky way made this a very pleasant walk. I have a few mobility issues but found I coped quite well on the paths to and from the yurt but wouldn't recommend it for a full time wheelchair user. There where plenty of local wildlife visitors .. rabbits, owls at night, wood pigeons, gold finches and many other birds during the day..(the dawn chorus was amazingly wonderful), spiders and beetles a plenty.. so if you're a little nesh be warned.. oh and midges by the ton so make some of those tea lights citronella. All in all we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed our brief visit.
