Martin is great host and very helpful throughout the stay! The place is very accessible, quiet and there are some supermarkets around the place. It is very easy for guest who needs to cook. His coffee machine is really good, especially for coffee lovers. Overall the house is very good enough for two persons and you will have everything you need. The good point for this apartment is they have elevator if you have a heavy stuffs with you. You will feel much more easier. After I live in this apartment, I really love Pankow. I hope I can stay here again when I come back to Berlin!

We stayed in Lara and Martins apartment for a month. Lara and Martin were very welcoming and pleasant people. They were flexible with the check in time and let us check out at our own discretion. We felt right at home and had a great stay. The apartment were just as we expected. Traveling with a 10 month old baby made the place perfect for us. The apartment is located in a nice and really quiet area with alot of cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Both S-bahn and tram is comfortably close.

Great location and reliable hosts. Thank you very much!

We had a fabulous week in Berlin while staying with our 6-months old baby in Martin's and Lara's place. Hosts: Lara met us in the apartment and handled our late check-in without a problem. Though we didn't had a chance to meet Martin face-to-face, both guys seem to be absolutely positive, easy going and uncomplicated persons. Apartment: Exactly as shown on the pics with slightly creaking wooden floors which make its good vibes even stronger! On the 2nd floor, really spacious, with a comfy double bed and a balcony in the bedroom which faces the quiet street. Cozy living room with a huge collection of the old vinyl records (mainly rock music of the 70's and 80's) which we enjoyed immensely. Building: Typical old building, clean and quiet. Large windows, high ceilings, a lot of daylight even in a cloudy day. There is an elevator (though quite small, but enough to enter with a baby stroller) Neighborhood: Completely safe at night. Prenzlauerberg highlights are all in a walking distance. Three supermarkets are just across Prenzlauer Allee, open between 08:00-22:00 (at least in July). "Kaiser's" (one of the three) is open as from 07:00 in the morning. All of them are closed on Sundays, but there's a splendid bakery "Thürmann" - just adjacent to Prenzlauer Allee S-station - which remains open on Sundays and always offers freshly baked bread and other delicious bakery products. Public Transport: M2 tram takes you to the city center in about 15min. 5min to get to Kastanienallee with tram 12. S41 / S42 ("Ring lines") were also very useful. Direct S9 line to SXF airport (30-40min ride).

When we got to the apartment, Lara welcomed us warmly and showed us the rooms; the check-in time itself was quite flexible, which was good for us. Communication with her during our stay was nice and easy (We didn't actually get to meet Martin, since he was out of town). The location of the flat is excellent, very close to all types of public transportation, and quite close to all the good stuff of the wonderful Prenzlauer Berg area. The apartment itself is big, nicely decorated, and contains most things needed. So is the kitchen. The living room is beautiful, and we enjoyed spending time there. All in all, a good place to stay if you're looking to experience a "real" Berlin style of living.
