Nice clean place in the centre of downtown. Not even a minute walk to metro station. Would stay again if in the city

Missaw is an amazing host. He not only offered to pick me up at the airport, he waited two hours for me to solve a missing suitcase issue which was delivered the following night and Missaw assisted in this as well. His apartment is a great place to stay when visiting Montreal. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The location of this apartment is excellent. It is in the heart of Montreal. It is an ideal place for those who want to explore the city and then have a spot to sleep in and recharge for the next day of early exploration. There are lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

We stayed for a week, two adults and two children aged 10 and 11. We slept on the bed (actually a box spring and a mattress on the floor surrounded rather than supported by a frame) in the bedroom and the kids slept on the two couches. Everyone was relatively comfortable. Overall, although the situation was adequate for us, we were dismayed by some of the problems with this apartment. It didn't prevent us from having a great vacation, but it certainly wasn't a place we were eager to come home to at the end of a day of roaming the city. We are pretty low-maintenance, but we want everything to be clean, safe, and usable, and those hopes weren't always met. It's a decent apartment in a decent building in a great location. Both the building and the apartment are kind of beat up in some respects, nice in others. The photos are mostly accurate, but it wasn't clear whether either of the couches were fold-out (they're not), and the photos don't show the ripped-up linoleum in the kitchen, etc. The balcony was described as large and well-furnished, but it was not particularly big, was hard to get out to, and was furnished only with a broken pot and three cheap chairs covered with pigeon droppings. There were dirty dishes in the kitchen when we arrived, moldings were grungy, and the balcony was too dirty to be usable. However, most of the dishes seemed more or less clean, the kitchen apart from the dishes was acceptable, and the bathroom was acceptable. Wassim (or Missaw) told us to sneak in past the security guard and pick up the key in the apartment, which he had left unlocked. We weren't willing or able to sneak in, but Wassim did contact the guard within 10 minutes after our arrival to get us through when we called him to help us get in. It appears that the rental arrangement was not entirely in accordance with the building policies. Linens, towels, blankets, etc. were minimal but usable. The kitchen was not very well equipped, though it was adequate, and the utensils, etc. were cheap and mismatched. The pool was small and was dirty when we arrived, but was cleaned while we were there (unavailable for a day and a half) and after that was very nice. The pool is in an enclosed room next to a rooftop terrace, which we loved when there was any shade, which was most of the time. Wassim was fairly responsive before our stay, very responsive when we arrived and had trouble getting in, and not very responsive with a couple of minor problems we had during our stay (for instance, one of the cables to the TV had been left disconnected, so it took us a lot of sleuthing to figure out how to get the TV to work). Excellent access to everything! Half a block from the metro, depanneur downstairs, Bixi within a couple of blocks, great...

Loved the location, it is fantastic! We were able to easily get around town with public transportation and Bixi bikes and on foot. Many points of interest are nearby, along with plenty of shops and restaurants. Listing is exactly as pictured; four of us were able to stay here quite comfortably. Host is helpful and accessible if needed.
