Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A quirky, luxurious couple's retreat, with views of fields and Big Sky! Carefully transformed former agricultural storage buildings that have now taken on a new lease of life. The Silos are now fully equipped with underfloor heating, proper insulation and double glazed bifold doors, not to mention the king sized bed, Egyptian cotton and pillows galore!The perfect ingredients for a relaxing stay, whatever the weather.
The space
The original structures of the two separate grain silos have been linked with a full height glazed section creating a deceptively large, luxurious and airy living space.
The Silos are equipped with a full kitchen, including dishwasher, hob and coffee machine, (complete with milk-frother and heart shaped stencils so you can make your lover the perfect morning coffee). The living space is such a serene place to sit and just ‘be’. Views of open fields, occasional deer and the odd fox make for a very therapeutic escape.
The bedroom is the definition of a room with a view. The king sized bed faces the full height bifold doors, out of which you can see fields and sky! Carefully incorporated into the silos is a full bathroom with walk in rainfall shower, sink/vanity and loo.
Guest access
The Silos are within the yard at Carr’s Lodge Farm, but enjoy their own private garden area, complete with barbecue and seating. You will have space to park within the secure yard. Guests are welcome to enjoy the yard and meet the chickens and then enjoy the miles of rural walking on the doorstep.
Other things to note
The Silos have been carefully designed as a couples retreat. They are therefore not child friendly. Occasionally we may be able to accommodate a baby or child that is not of walking age, but ask that you get in touch prior to booking in order to discuss the details.
There are no cameras or recording devices within the property, only in the main yard and on the entrance to the yard. Please rest assured none of these cameras pick up any private areas of Linseed or the garden.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer electric car charging facilities for guests, but we can happily point you in the direction of the nearest public charging point.

Together with my husband, Simon, we created Stamford Holiday Cottages during the 2020 lockdown when we converted a derelict barn to a beautiful two-bedroom cottage, known as Linseed.
Since lockdown, during 2022, we have converted a pair of grain silos (catchily known as The Silos) into a 1 bedroom couple’s retreat, which if you’re looking for something a little different, should ‘tick the box’.
Simon is most definitely the brains of the build and I am the frills!
Over the next few years, we have exciting plans to convert a further two derelict barns into holiday accommodation.
We can't wait to host other friends and families in this beautiful part of the world.
