Welcome to Stittenham House Accommodation for up to 7 people in 4 bedrooms. Stittenham House offers a unique Highlands home for a wide range of interests.

Large detached former coaching inn. Built in 1833 situated a scenic rural setting. 3 miles north of Alness and with excellent 5G broadband installed in every room.

As yet the property is not equipped with EV charging. There is the Skiach service stn. 3 miles from SH which has EV. charging. To plug into SH domestic supply will cost £10 /day

The space
Stittenham House is situated a scenic rural setting just over 3 miles from Alness, This classical home has stunning views of unspoilt highland scenery including views to the Cromarty Firth and the north and south headlands.
Large detached house. Built in 1833, this listed building has been tastefully up-dated, yet many original Georgian features remain.

Ground Floor:- 4 bed room (sleeps 7), Kitchen, Lounge, 1 Bathroom & 1 Shower room.

First Floor:- 1 Bed room

The garden is mainly a grassed area, fringed with rhododendron bushes. A distinctive feature wall forms the easterly boundary. Looking easterly you see the Ben Rhinnes (mountain) rising above the Speyside hills.

Please note:-

- Although we don't provide meals, we leave a starter pack for guests of fresh milk, bread, butter, tea, sugar, coffee, and biscuits.

- In the December Christmas/New Year period we are only taking minimum 4 nightly bookings thanks .

- Only one dog permitted at a cost of £45. Any variation to this to be reviewed on a one by one basis

- Stittenham House does not presently have EV charging facilities however facilities exist at Skiach Services Evanton Industrial Estate Evanton IV16 9XH. These services are 4 miles from SH. I am not aware of any incident of queuing at this service station.

This Alness location means that guests have a wide choice of activities on their doorstep, with mountain bike tracks, fantastic walks and a selection of golf courses within a short drive. Alternatively, take the car and drive to the numerous fishing villages to see the seals basking on the rocks, visit Chanonry Point and hopefully catch the Dolphins basking.
The area around Stittenham House is full of surprises (6000 year old Historic Scotland listed Orkney/Cromarty chambered cairn) If you are interested in viewing this remains please indicate to your host.
