Description

The space

Where hip meets modern decor, this apartment has a fully furnished marble-finished bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen (in case you ever feel inspired to cook something up) and a dining and living room connected to one another with walls plastered with windows in order to give you an amazing view of the city. The bedroom is quite large and has a good closet space as well aa a queen bed, which can comfortably accommodate two people.

Guest access

By staying in Le Cartier, you can access the indoor pool, the rooftop and the gym, which all offer a 360º view of Montréal. Also, connected to the building, there is a convenience store, a dry cleaners, a sushi restaurant and the famous Super Sandwich shop, which are open throughout the day. Finally, there is a laundry/dryer machine room, where you can do all your laundry if necessary.

Interaction with guests

I am reachable through any telephone or internet connected device. You can reach me through my phone number, e-mail or even !

The neighbourhood

This apartment is located in the heart of Downtown Montréal. McGill University is right across the street and Concordia University is a five minute walk away. There are many restaurants within a two-minute radius away, particularly brunch restaurants (i.e. Universel, Eggspectations), chocolateries (i.e. Suite 88) and specialty cuisines on Crescent Street (all-you-can-eat sushi, Burger Bar, M Burger, Reuben's). If you are hoping to gain a cultural experience, there are many museums located on Sherbrooke that are walking distance from Le Cartier (i.e. Museum of Fine Arts, McCord Museum, etc.) Furthermore, Crescent Street and Saint Laurent, both within walking distance, turns into one the nightlife hotspots after sunset in Montréal.

Getting around

Since the apartment overlooks Sherbrooke Street and Peel Street, there are many bus stops simply off of Sherbrooke and the Peel metro station is right across the street, which can get you anywhere you need to be in the city. Also, the doorman is always happy to order you a cab right when you leave, whether it is a normal or a van.

Other things to note

The doormen are extremely friendly and helpful. If you need anything, just call them or go down and ask them. They know everything!

It seems that no one clean the apt and there are some garbage....the bed and the quilt is a little dirty, not tidy. No shower gel, shampoo. But the location is good, in the downtown and near metro and mont royal. Not good accommodation.

It was a pleasant stay. Gorgeous view, great pool and fitness access. Just have your towels and be prepared to change the bed sheets.

My worse experience with Airbnb so far. The apartment was really dirty. The housecleaning wasn't done at all ( and they charge you for cleaning fees) I had to spend more than two hours cleaning the flat. I find the sheets dirty with hair, the towels on the floor, I had to throw out the garbage But the worst was the bathroom, really dirty I try to contact Dina but she never answers The only positive was the central situation and the swimming pool on the roof.

The view from the apartment was great! The doorman was very helpful and checking in was a breeze! It was also a terrific location. However, the apartment itself was just okay. The pool facilities were old, as was the fitness center. The sheets were not clean, nor were there clean towels available. Just an FYI, overnight parking is $22

We chose Dina's apartment as we have visited Le Appartments Cartier in the past and we were not disappointed. Dina was easy to communicate with and accomodated our early arrival (three hours). The apartment was spacious, was on the 17th floor and had a terrific view of downtown (centre-ville), and had all amentities we needed. As the apartment is owned by a student the walls were bare of personal items (but we prefer this). Other guests have commented on cleanliness upon arrival but Dina is away and is relying on the guests themselves to care for the next. Yes, there were towels left but were not bothered and we made certain that the home was clean when we left. We were pleased to note that we did not smell cigarette smoke, though smoking is allowed in the building. Le Cartier has a gym, pool, terrasse (all with wonderful views of the city), laundry (with 55+ inch tv to view), and a small store in the boutique area. There is another store two buildings up the street. There is a metro, grocery, banking all within moments of the building. It is central to all activities (we were there for eight days for the Just for Laughs Festival and no less than six other ongoing festivals in progress; Montreal is party central in July) and an ideal spot to begin each day of adventure. The building, amentities and the staff made our experence truly enjoyable. We recommend Le Cartier to any AirBnB travellers. Thanks Dina!
